City Lodge Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport

The staff in the hotel are so friendly & helpful it is only 5 minutes walk to the hotel from the airport if you get lost there is staff along the way to guide you don’t worry it’s easy access, the hotel is excellent and the food and drinks reasonably priced.

Conveniently within walking distance of the airport. Rooms good but my water cooker was not working…

Loved shopping in the airport. Very convenient for 1 night layover.

Was given wrong room initially which did get fixed. No phone in room. Waited an hour for our dinner in the hotel restaurant where there were inly a few guests.
We entered from inside the airport so I cannot comment on the grounds

This hotel is right at the airport. Great for evening arrivals or a launching point for nearby travel. Great staff. Good restaurant. There is little else in area.

We arrived at the hotel after travelling for 30hours. We were tired and all we wanted was to take a shower and sleep. Upon arrival we were told that there was a water outage but the maintanance staff will sort it out shortly. The next morning there was still no water. The truth was that the whole OR Tambo complex had no water. Please don't lie to your guests and at least offer some credit or compensation.

Clean, convenient and efficient.. Food service was a bit slow but understanable because it was busy.. nonetheless a pleasant stay, easy check in and check out !

My husband and I stayed here two nights during our recent trip to South Africa. City Lodge is a nice and convenient airport hotel. It is about a 5 minute walk from the terminal. No shuttle required. The hotel staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. They even allowed us to check out one hour later than the posted time without an extra charge. We found the room to be clean and quiet and the bed comfortable. We ate at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and the food and service were both good. I used the gym and although small and a little warm since it is open to the outside, it was clean and served it's purpose. Would highly recommend City Lodge for an airport stay and would book again.
