A really lovely hotel with fantastic architecture and a beautifully considered design throughout. It has a cool, contemporary feel while still being incredibly comfortable and welcoming.
The staff were lovely, our room was very comfortable, and our five-year-old particularly loved having his own bunk bed. The location is excellent, within easy reach of Baie-Saint-Paul, and having the train running right past the hotel was an unexpected highlight for our son!
We also loved the animals around the grounds and the hotel’s genuine farm-to-table philosophy. Herbs and vegetables grown on site, a real emphasis on local produce and sustainability, and absolutely delicious food in the restaurant. It’s lovely to stay somewhere with such a strong connection to its surroundings.
The outdoor fire in the evenings was another gorgeous touch. The whole place has a really relaxed, thoughtfully designed atmosphere, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’d definitely return.
Our biggest disappointment was discovering that our five-year-old wasn’t allowed to use any of the swimming facilities. We’d booked as a family and hadn’t been made aware that the outdoor heated pool and spa facilities had a minimum age of 16. Our room actually overlooked the pools and hot tubs, so our son spent much of the stay looking longingly at them without being able to go in! It would have been helpful to have this made much clearer when booking, particularly for families with young children.
There was also no room service, which was surprising for a hotel of this standard. You could order food from the restaurant, but had to go downstairs, wait and collect it yourself.
The rooms, while beautifully designed, were a little short on practical storage. There was nowhere suitable to put our suitcases, so we ended up leaving them open on the floor. The bathroom sink was also awkward to use because the shelf above it had been positioned too low.
These were relatively minor issues apart from the swimming situation, but a few practical details could definitely be improved. Overall, we still really enjoyed our stay.
We loved the room and being able to watch the animals from our window. The room was really, really cool and much bigger than I expected. We also ran along the trail to the river and enjoyed the view.
Breakfast closed earlier than we thought - the website had the incorrect closing time and the front desk gave us the same schedule. Also, the room we were in had high windows with a remote that didn't work for the automatic blinds. I had my sleep mask so the light didn't bother me much, but it would be nice if the blinds work.

Pas d'accès au spa pour l'une de mes filles de 14 ans même de façon restreinte. J'aurai aimé quelle puisse découvrir ce service. Du coup toute la famille n'y a pas été. Dommage.
La loupiote dans la chambre familiale pour signaler la marche donne direct sur les lits superposés. Réduire son intensité permettrait aux enfants de ne pas avoir la lumière dans les yeux. Nous avons placer un pull devant pour en atténuer l'intensité.

Emplacement, animaux, température, vélo, planeurs, tout était à point, intérieur et extérieur pour un séjour inoubliable.
La chambre était propre et le lit confortable.
À mon sens le rapport qualité/prix n’est pas du tout justifié.
Attention, si vous réserver votre chambre soyez attentif car l’accès au spa/wellness n’est pas inclus (60 dollars supplémentaires) et ceci n’est pas forcément clairement mentionné. Aussi les horaires d’ouvertures sont de 10:00 à 18:00 et ceci aussi n’est pas mentionné dans l’annonce booking.
De plus, l’isolation phonique des chambres n’est pas top, la ventilation est très bruyante et l’intensité des nuisances s’est intensifié dans la nuit.
Nous avons fait part de nos remarques à la réception et malheureusement aucun geste n’a été proposé.

Nada en particular
We come here every year and it's one of my favourite hotels in the world. My kids absolutely adore visiting. The property is so beautiful and clean and every small detail has been thought of and included. The area is also amazing for hiking and delicious food. I am always really sad to leave.
La vue sur l'extérieur, les couleurs de la chambre, la tapisserie derrière le lit.
Lit spacieux et très joli mais trop mou et draps mal fixés; décor axé sur le ''look'' plutôt que sur le confort (i.e peu de place pour bouger, un seul fauteuil, pas de table autre qu'un bureau faisant face à un mûr. ergomomie mal adaptée des accessessoires de salle de bain, pas de crochets pour suspendre les serviettes ou peignoirs...).

Le petit déjeuner avec la vue sur le parc était très sympa, c’est qualitatif et il y un vaste choix de nourriture.
Le lit était plus proche d’un 140 cm que du queen size annoncé.
L’absence d’accès type ascenseur ou alors une aide pour les valises lourde quand on est à l’étage, est regrettable.
L’accueil est chaleureux, le personnel est vraiment sympathique et très professionnel. Mention particulière à Louises-bonnes de la conciergerie pour ses bons conseils, aussi à toute l’équipe du petit déjeuner, Sarah, Chantal et Sébastien pour leur bonne humeur. Et sans oublier Mohamed à l’accueil qui a toujours répondu à nos demandes. Bref, nous reviendrons sûrement lors d’un prochain voyage.
Le lit un peu petit et la baignoire-douche pas très pratique…
