I've stayed at this hotel before and was delighted to be greeted with welcome back on arrival. The rooms are very comfortable. Great.breakfast, I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant both nights. The staff are very friendly and hospitable and are a real asset. Some renovation is ongoing, but this didn't impact my stay.at.all. Based on the work completed.to.date the improvements are impressive. Once completed, i think a 10 score will be in order after my next visit.

Central to where we wanted. The hotel was under renovation but it didn’t really inconvenience us.

Room was quiet , didn’t like the guests banging the doors of their bedroom doors late at night and very early in the morning. I think it would be a huge advantage if a fitted hand grab rail was fitted to the bathroom wall beside the toilet as the toilet is low for people who are elderly.
Your restaurant menu, to many meals with added spices. A salad would be an advantage.
New hotel in a good location for our trip
On one of the hottest days of the year we expected a new hotel to have air conditioning ... mt fault for not checking first.
Very lovely from outside lovely gardens beautiful inside the staff very friendly lovely bars very pretty stylish amazing comfy bed and pillows could still see the sea from our room had a bath 🛀 plus iron board freestanding air con which was needed as it was a hot nite out there was a wedding on looked awesome good awesome and breakfast first time at the hotel will most definitely be back would recommend to everyone thank you for a great stay

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and went the extra mile to assist people. The whole experience from check-in to check-out was exactly what we needed after cycling 200 miles!
Room was lovely decorated and very clean
Booked for husbands birthday, but due to renovation work, there is no seated bar area and restaurant consists of just a fairly small room. Daughter and son in law came down to join us for birthday drinks and we had to sit in beer garden as nowhere indoors to sit. But my daughter was too cold, so asked for a table indoors to be advised the bar area is only for ordering drinks..and the other room is for meals, so we ended up taking my daughter and son in law up to our room until they finished theyre drinks
They were so disappointed and went home after that.
Ruined my husbands birthday,
Breakfast wasn't the best either...unless you like deep fried potato scones and rock solid air fried black pudding.
Been for many afternoon teat at Carlton before and meals and food was amazing, but not this time, and I definitely doubt I will stay here again.
They should at least advise potential customers that they is work being done and there are very limited actual facilities available, to allow to make alternative choices...I certainly would have had I known
