Impressive ... I loved the accommodations and front line professionalism.
The hotel was conveniently located to restaurants and other attractions. The lobby is very welcoming and comfortable for spending time socializing. We were greeted warmly by Carl who made sure we had everything we needed. Gabi the bartender hosted a really great happy hour. The complimentary cocktail and charcuterie was much appreciated. Tiana greeted us at checkout and was extremely helpful with suggestions for local places and even offered to keep our luggage for us. Great staff made for an exceptional stay. The room was beautifully furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend
I stayed at the Aloft for 3 days and 2 nights over the Fourth of July weekend in a King River View room, and overall, there were a lot of things I genuinely appreciated about my stay.
From the moment I walked into the lobby, the staff was polite, accommodating, cheerful, and welcoming. One of the front desk employees, Anna, was especially fun to talk to and truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. There was also another front desk employee, unfortunately I did not catch her name, who was also wonderful to speak with and made my stay feel extra special when she surprised me with a small gift that I was not expecting at all. That kind of gesture really stood out to me.
I was also very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. The lobby, elevators, hallways, and my room were all very clean and well maintained and had some pretty interesting art mixed throughout. I was thoroughly impressed with the housekeeping staff. Funny enough, I never actually saw them, but I definitely knew they were there. On Saturday morning, I went downstairs for breakfast and had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant, which was very good and made fresh to order. By the time I got back upstairs to my room, maybe only 20 minutes later, housekeeping had already been in and out, replaced the towels, and made the bed. I did not see anyone when I left the room, so I have no idea how they knew I was gone, but they were quick, efficient, and clearly on top of things.
I also spent an entire day at the pool, which was very enjoyable. The attached bar right inside the doors made it extremely convenient. The bar has comfortable seating all around, a pool table and games spread around the tables for guests to play, free of charge. The bartender, Gabi, was surprisingly skilled with her technique, had an upbeat personality, and always had a smile on her face no matter who she was serving or what she was doing.
Overall, I honestly do not have much to say in a negative way. There were just a few small things worth mentioning.
I stayed in room 201, which was on the corner of the building closest to the street and the river view bridge. While my room technically did have a river view, it was from the bathroom window. LoL. I am going to overlook that detail because the cleanliness of the hotel and the attention from the staff outweighed something as small as the exact specifics of what my view consisted of. Still, it may be worth mentioning more clearly in the booking listing.
A few other things I was not completely thrilled with were mostly related to the pool and bar area. The bar did not open until 12 noon, which felt a little late for a Saturday, especially during a major holiday weekend. Opening a little earlier would have been nice.
I was also a little disappointed that the pool area had no entertainment, not even music. Luckily, I had brought my Bluetooth speaker. I jokingly took a general vote by yelling out to the other guests around the pool to see what genre of music everyone wanted to hear. Once we had some music playing, everyone seemed happier, more relaxed, and the pool area felt much more enjoyable.
The walls inside my room were completely bare with no artwork, which made the room feel a little plain and also caused it to echo pretty badly. The room itself was smaller than I expected, but it was still comfortable, clean, and efficient for what I needed.
One thing that may matter more to couples or people sharing a room is that there was no real bathroom door, not even to the toilet/water closet area for privacy. Since I was traveling solo, it did not personally bother me, but I could see how that might be awkward for two people sharing the room.
All is perfect
More time hahaha
We had a wonderful stay at the Aloft in Tampa! From the moment we arrived, the check-in staff was absolutely outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and made the entire process quick and effortless. Their hospitality really set the tone for our stay.
The hotel itself is beautiful and has such a unique, modern design. The atmosphere is vibrant, stylish, and unlike your typical hotel, making it a fun place to stay. We were impressed with how clean and well-maintained everything was.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tampa!
Shout out Rios at the front desk. What a rockstar! He was professional and courteous and handled my minor issue with class and kindness (it was my mistake). Anyone from Marriott/Aloft on TripAdvisor? If so, that guy should be promoted. As a Titanium member - people like him are what I hope for when booking with Marriott. Thank you!
