Worst experience ever at this location. My husband and I have been titanium members since 2024 and we have never had any issues prior to this stay. We were placed in a room with no working AC. We called the front desk, were brought a fan, and were told to go back tomorrow morning for a room switch. We did just that and were rudely told by some lady at the front there were no available rooms for the night. After my husband asked if there was anything she could do, she said that she would award my husband 10,000 points and allow for late checkout for the inconvenience. It was literally impossible to be in the room with it being so hot, so we went back around 7pm when someone else was working and they gave us a new room. The new rooms AC did not work. Literally ridiculous. My husband had to go back to the old room to take the fan. The worst part - when we checked out the next employee at the front told us that we weren’t awarded points or late checkout. Absolutely ridiculous. Won’t be staying at this location anymore. Very disappointed with the staff.

Great value for your money with this minimalist place.
Pros:

This hotel was a fun hotel to stay in. The location was great. The rooms were minimal but clean and quiet. They had free breakfast that I did not partake in so I cant really tell you anything other than they had it. The service was good. And the valet guys knew how to maneuver all the vehicles with the small space they have to work with. Oh and let’s not forget the nightlife with the pool table and the pool!

Not worth the price or hassle
Pros:

Can’t believe I paid that much for a room smaller than my bathroom at home…literally! Front desk staff were clueless - asked about an info or visitor center and I got the “ I dunno”. Yet there was a visitor not more than 2 blocks away. Wanted to buy a beer from the concessions and was told they can’t sell it as long as the bar is open…WTH?! All I’m saying folks is find a better place to stay. This millennial place is not worth it one bit.

Fantastic experience!
Pros:

Aloft was amazing! From the moment Mia from valet welcomed us, we knew it was going to be a wonderful weekend. The hotel is extremely clean and has such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a fantastic experience! 😊

Not my taste hotel reminded me of a teenager room.

Good for couples
Pros:

Good location for bars restaurants and the river walk. Staff were accommodating , nice room with comfy bed.

Cons:

The hotel is on a junction so the traffic could be a bit noisy and we were on the 6th floor.

Clean and Convenient
Pros:

My wife and I spent 3 nights here while attending a wedding. We stayed on the 5th floor, overlooking the pool and River walk. This hotel was perfect for our needs. A convenient location right in the heart of the downtown area. The pool has a nice, trendy bar area and the hotel is a short walk to many restaurants and coffee shops. Manny at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Aloft.

Unhelpful and rude
Pros:

I’m not super picky about hotels, but a reasonably comfortable bed and a hot shower are the two critical things I’m buying. First morning the shower was cold but I was in a hurry so dealt with it and went to the front desk later. They sent maintenance that tried but couldn’t fix it. No rooms to move to we’re 100% full but after a lot of rudeness and unhelpfulness she says I can move rooms in the morning. Next morning I call down to find out that a. No one has conveyed any concern or plan and b. It was a bold faced lie that I could get another room. After the second woman at the front desk is rude, unhelpful and also never follows up or gets anything fixed I’m stuck with no shower at all on morning 2.

Third times the charm when again the front desk in the afternoon has no idea of the problem and eventually gets someone to fix it. But my time is wasted, I had to do days of meetings with no hot shower, and I’m totally over the lack of follow through or basic assistance. Surely you can find a better hotel in Tampa.

Would happy to stay again
Pros:

Great location for the river walk. Spacious functional gym with water bottles. Free coffee in the lobby.

Cons:

Lighting in the room was a bit odd but overall no complaints. Also only valet parking and very expensive
