Front desk staff rude but room was quiet & clean. Fun SF neighborhood.
Pros:

Vibrant neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bars. Close to the Marina Green area along the bay. Views of Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz , and Marin headlands. Free parking is a terrific plus.

Cons:

See photos below for view from my “Superior” room. It was quiet, though. I was at the hotel as I had a hospital appointment the next morning at UCSF. I contacted the hotel a week ahead to request an early check in. They never responded. I called at 2;00 on check in day, May 31. I was told to check back at 3:00. We did but room not ready. My husband asked if there was anything they could do because I was feeling quite ill, but they said no, wait until 4:00. I was exhausted and ill. We waited in their tiny waiting room, completely ignoring us. Finally at 4;00, my husband asked again and the room was ready. They saw us sitting there for over an hour and said nothing when the room was ready. No updates. They knew I was sick and did nothing to prioritize a room clean up for us or provide any updates. I was happy to pay for the service but they shrugged. Even a glass of water would have been helpful. Lobby has no restroom either. This was my second stay but I will think twice about staying again. Cancer patients travel to SF for several months and treatments. That is a lot of potential business.
