Cozy and unique with great location, but a little run down.
Pros:

The layout of the room with the private feel. The bed was realllly comfy. Glad it had air conditioning! Our suite had a private hot tub which is so cool. Parking was easy and free. The cozy feel of the place and that it wasn't a fancy polished hotel was just what we were after.

Cons:

Very dated decor and overall tired feeling of the hotel. A few small upgrades could go a long way. Couldn't find any drinking water on site had to buy some. While we weren't looking for fancy, the feeling that a place is cared for matters.

the property looks tired and beat up. the rooms are kept clean but the paint, dents, worn out wood floors etc remind me of a college dorm room meets hostel. rustic charm for sure but needs about $300K upgrade in paint, landscaping, property cleanup in general to be a boutique hotel. bathroom tub had broken off tile around it so we didnt use it. bed was very comfortable. I hate complaining but I guess I still am a bit hah.

I will definitely be returning again.
Pros:

It didn’t really feel like a hotel but it felt like my own house. I felt like I was at home the whole time! I love this place! Everything was clean and comfortable. I really loved all the different decor and styling of the place. It’s a very unique place to stay at. You don’t really find places like this too often.

Nothing. Everything was great!

We won’t be back.
Pros:

Very run down and dirty. Hosts are pleasant, but the inn offers little in ambiance and is very dirty. Rooms are really small. Our bathtub was literally in the same room as the bed. Floors are really dirty. I wish the owners the best, but it looks like they are not really interested in our business. You have been warned. By the way, I don’t get how there are many positive reviews.

Unique cool vibe in a great location!
Pros:

Very unique property in adorable Del Mar with so much character and charm. Each room is decorated differently. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was peaceful and we slept very well. The bed was very comfortable. Walking distance easily to many restaurants and shops. The owner was so sweet and showed us to our room as well as showed us some of her other cool rooms. Would stay here again!

Beautiful, fun, quirky!
Pros:

The location was wonderful. Within walking distance to everything.

Cons:

I felt very safe overall, but the doors could use more locks. The a/c worked great but was super loud while trying to sleep.

Cool theme, unique rooms.
Pros:

The price was good & view was great. Themed rooms were cool.

Cons:

Rooms were clean-ish. Tub was not thoroughly cleaned. Several ants throughout. We only stayed one night, never brought food in, think it’s just from the location.

The location was great. Only a few blocks from the beach.

Cons:

The room was extremely dirty. The sheets were stained. The shower was full of mold and gross. The walls were filthy, we stayed the first night and went somewhere else for the second night. We only stayed the first night because we arrived at midnight and had no other choice.
