Valverde Lisboa Hotel & Garden - Relais & Châteaux

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent restaurant for dinner and breakfast, stylish and comfortable rooms, and a great central location. Otimo!!!

We recently enjoyed a three-night stay at The Valverde Hotel in Lisbon to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and from the moment we arrived, every aspect of our experience exceeded expectations in every way.
From the warm welcome by the door staff to the professionalism of the reception team, and from the attentive restaurant staff to the meticulous housekeeping team, every single member of staff was friendly, polite, welcoming, knowledgeable and thoughtful. It truly felt like nothing was too much trouble. A special mention must go to Ricardo and Elsa, who were true professionals in their respective fields and made our stay even more memorable.
The hotel itself is beautifully furnished and decorated with such incredible attention to detail. Every space feels elegant yet comfortable. The service throughout our stay was attentive without ever being intrusive or pretentious a rare and much appreciated balance. We felt completely at ease whether relaxing with a book in the lounge or enjoying a leisurely meal in the restaurant.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the octopus was so good that I had it twice! Dining there was a highlight of our stay.
We loved every aspect of our visit and have been recommending The Valverde to everyone we’ve spoken to since returning home. It was the perfect place to celebrate such a special milestone, and we very much hope to return soon next time with our family.

We visited Lisbon for a long weekend. The hotel staff were very helpful and assisted with restaurant recommendations and bookings. The room was spacious and well laid out. Their in-house restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced.

Extremely convenient location for sightseeing in the city. The service was perfect. Complimentary port and cookies in the lobby. Excellent buffet breakfast. We LOVED the pool. So rare to find a heated outdoor pool in the middle of the city! The room was gorgeous. Very luxurious experience!

This is a lovely, intimate hotel that was extremely comfortable, a true oasis in a bustling city. As such it is very special. The room was beautiful, and the staff ensured that we received quiet rooms as requested. The front desk and housekeeping staff were particularly engaged, pleasant and professional. Breakfast was good.

The hotel was a real disappointment! As a long time fan of the chain this property was awful. First, our room was next to a night club that is everyday and the noise is inescapable from your room. The room was also ridiculously small for $400 plus a night. Two, the breakfast restaurant service was disorganized and the lady waitresses were rude! We had breakfast for five days and aside from the gentleman who was incredible the rest of staff needs major hospitality and organization training. I speak multiple languages and understood perfectly what the staff was saying. The bright spot for this place is that it has a central location. That said, there was many other five star options at lower prices that I have tried in the past that were far superior. The reception staff was incredible and nice but they can’t solve for the issues I described.

Centric neighbourhood of Lisbon. Cozy atmosphere and hospitality. The restaurant was full of locals, good sign of its quality. Fruits in the room as complement, as well as a large bottle of alkaline water.

Best Hotel in Lisbon. Amazing location, hidden from noisy areas, beautiful courtyard and breakfast. Fantastic room and service. The team in the Hotel where the best. Cant wait to go back.

Valverde adds to the pleasure of being in Lisbon. Discretely located in the upscale but busy Avenida da Liberdade, the moment you enter the hotel, which is almost invisible from the outside, you discover a rare combination of intimacy and sophistication. The building, in townhouse style, was recently renovated with elegance and attention to detail. The layout of the hotel, with multiple living rooms, encourages you to just relax and admire the beautiful surroundings. Valverde has a very small gym and swimming pool, a lovely restaurant with indoor and patio tables. The food is high quality. Last, the staff also elevates the experience with their friendly attitude and professionalism. I would definitely come back since this hotel is not just lodging in Lisbon but becomes an essential part of your visit.

Exceptional customer service. Only weird thing I was asked to tip when I checked out. I have never experienced that before.

Hotel Valverde is located in a great area for seeing the highlights of beautiful Lisbon. The staff is extremely professional and eager to accommodate any requests. The decor is charming with each room being different. The outdoor bar/restaurant is fabulous! Bar food and the dinner menu is excellent. My only recommendation is that the carpet is in need of replacement in some rooms and public areas. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel!!

Loved the hotel. Decor was lovely and the amenities too. Staff were great - friendly and helpful. We didn't dine there but the breakfasts were excellent and the dining room is beautiful. Location couldn't be better as it's on the main road where all of the designer shops are and is a short walk to the main areas - Restauradores, Rossio, Barrio Alto etc.

What a great fine for us. Very nice hotel with an outstanding restaurant. Customer Service was over the top. The staff really makes the difference at this hotel. Super location as well - especially for shopping.

Did not meet our expectations. Few members of the staff seemed to be focused on customer service…and some staff were in fact rude. Expected R&C service and was not apparent.

Upon check in we learned that they upgraded us to a jr suite The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable The staff was outstanding They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and really gave you the feeling that they truly wanted to help to make your vacation the best it could be The breakfast buffet was good and everything tasted very fresh The outdoor dining area was gorgeous! I would definitely stay here again if I return to Lisbon
