Great stay with a good breakfast!
Pros:

We all had an enjoyable stay at The Resolution in Whitby. We booked it a few weeks ago, as we are filming in the area. It exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was wonderful. It isn't a buffet; it is a sit-down, order-type place, which we liked!

Great stay in a stylishly decorated hotel and perfect location.
Pros:

Lovely stay in this hotel ! Staff were very friendly, Arrived on the Wednesday and by mistake only booked 2 nights instead of 3!!! The reception managed to get us a room for the extra day .The original room number 3 was lovely and clean and we were luckily moved to an even nicer room and upgraded for the 3rd night to room 2 which was even nicer .We discovered the vault bar / restaurant on the last night and they fitted us both in for an excellent meal.Would highly recommend both the hotel and Vault restaurant.

Cons:

Couldn't really fault the place but if I were picky I would say the pillows could be a bit softer or a mixture.

Pros:

I booked a room with an amazing view of the Abbey, but unfortunately the windows were really dirty which did spoil it somewhat.

Compact
Pros:

The Location can only be described as perfect, we also arranged to eat breakfast to which there enough choice for anybody's palet. Our only genuine gripe was our Room "No. 304"
The lift was broken, so being in the attic/3rd storey wasn't great, but that wasn't anybody fault, these things happen

Cons:

Our room, in the attic room 304, which was way way below expectation, bearing in mind we paid more for this than our fellow guest who's rooms were considerably bigger. Now this isn't a hollow moan because someone had better, it really is shocking value for money. There's not enough space to to even store your weekend cases, ours went against the entry door once in, which I'm sure wouldn't meet fire regs. It has a beautiful window seat and the ensuite is spacious enough, but without viewing this room you simply won't understand. Please check or request a room number when booking, unless it's single occupancy, trust me I'm not exaggerating.

Parking is not easy in the town but the hotel was lovely.
Pros:

Food was good, had breakfast and evening meal and would recommend both. Staff were great

Cons:

Asked for a ground floor room due to a bad knee. None available but was told that all floors had a lift service. When we got there the lift service could not go to the top floor and the next day was completely out of service for the whole stay.

Would definitely stay again but check that lift is working!
Pros:

A lovely hotel centrally located within easy walking to all the attractions. Lovely room, well appointed and comfortable.

Cons:

Lift was out of order and as we were on the top floor it was a bit of an issue. Not good when you have mobility issues.

Was one of the best night away we have ever had.
Pros:

We had a wonderful time.
The welcoming at the reception desk was very friendly. The room was beautiful; we had the best view of Whitby.

Fabulous Hotel
Pros:

The reception staff were very friendly & helpful 🙂. Fabulous views from bedroom, very clean room & bathroom, REALLY comfy bed, plenty of coffee making facilities. Location great, as not in the busiest areas, but only a few minutes walk to front

Cons:

🤣 only one pack of biscuits, needed two for two people staying 🤣 I don't like sharing biscuits with anyone! 🤣

An excellent choice from start to finish,a really enjoyable experience
Pros:

The location of the property was excellent for all the amenities,the hotel was clean and properly maintained,staff were very polite and courteous,food was excellent and a very wide choice.

Cons:

My only grouse was the noise level from the bar next door.
