We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and absolutely loved our stay! 🏨✨
One of our favorite things was the location. We spent the weekend antique shopping all around downtown, and pretty much everything was within walking distance. There were also so many great restaurants nearby that we never had to worry about driving anywhere.
The history of the building was fascinating. We loved seeing all the history posted throughout the hotel and getting to experience the character of such an old building.
We stayed in Room 201, which had these beautiful large windows that opened right out onto the rooftop patio. Being able to step outside from our room was such a cool feature! The view from the rooftop overlooking the park and the mural was absolutely beautiful. 🌿🎨
Our room was very clean, and the maid was so nice and welcoming. The clawfoot tub was another highlight—it comfortably fit two people, and there was plenty of extra hot water to enjoy a long, relaxing soak. 🛁
A few things to know before booking: there is no TV, but that wasn't a big deal for us at all. There also isn't a refrigerator, microwave, or kitchen area, but we didn't need any of those during our stay. They did have a Keurig with coffee, creamer, and sugar, which was a nice touch. ☕️
The mattress is VERY firm, so that's something I'd definitely mention for anyone who prefers a softer bed. We're used to a softer mattress, so by morning our bodies definitely felt like we'd been sleeping on the floor! 😂 But that's simply a personal preference and certainly didn't take away from our overall experience.
The heaters worked wonderfully, especially for an older building, and overall we were extremely happy with our stay.
We will absolutely be back often! ❤️

On site options for food and entertainment.
Lack of communication after calling and texting multiple times trying to get a human being on the phone. Tried to add a night at the beginning of the stay and could not get a call back from anyone, so booked it online and then one night into the stay someone finally called me and tried to get us to switch rooms, which eventually was rectified.
The historic charm and location
There was not any reception/front desk support. I have stayed previously so I was familiar with the property. They were not super responsive by text or phone.
We didn't realize the property was so close to the railroad and were surprised by the noise.
The building was beautiful and the check in process was super quick and easy. I wish all hotels ran like this one!
Nothing
I loved the historic feel, the large room, where it was located and that it had a restaurant.
Soundproofing terrible! While using the toilet I could hear next door neighbors conversation. Bet they didn’t like hearing my toilet flushing. There was no tv, though for one night that wasn’t a big deal. Cooking smells!
Great experience staying in a historic building; loved the bathtub 🛁 and the view (good for train spotting 🚂). Self-checkin went very well, too.
Nothing
Everything. No bathroom in the room, creepy as hell
Great interior, comfy beds, nice clean shared facilities. Lots to explore within the hotel, has lots of character. Easy to check-in despite being unstaffed.
Very loud due to location so close to rail tracks, but they provided complimentary earplugs.
I found the communication from the hotel a bit too frequent.
Location is right in the old town so historic. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the historic nature of the hotel. Restaurants on site so convenient. Enjoyed the balcony terrace.
Location is right next to Auto parts store and close to train tracks. There is a bar in the basement so a bit loud, However, they give you ear plugs which was helpful.
