A modern hotel experience with perks. A very relaxing stay after a day of activity.
Pros:

Stayed here planning on going to the norikura Highlands the next day, but the bus routes closed early due to snow. Despite that disappointment, the hotel itself was very nice. Certainly not a traditional ryokan, but the room was nice and the tea and snacks were delicious. The buffet was very acceptable, but the best part was the outdoor bath and easy access to hiking.

Cons:

It is out of the way to get to, and if you plan on taking a bus there, double check the schedules:it doesn't go all the way to the hotel all year round.

Nice location
Pros:

We enjoyed the location and the staff were very polite and respectful.

Cons:

There are only 2 pools in the onsen. Food provided at dinner and breakfast buffet were so so.
