Pros:

clean and tidy

Cons:

Not value for money and rooms need to be upgraded
Pros:

Location was OK centre of town, kettle and tea/coffee in room

Cons:

The room was in need of redecorating and upgrading no net curtains in room only heavy curtains so could not open them, so no privacy, no air conditioning in the room, so was very hot and sweaty, also room was right over the bar music was very loud up till 11.00 pm, and also no breakfast the kitchen is closed on Sunday mornings.

Unfortunately the hotel contacted me after the booking to say there was a mix up with the rooms and the room I had booked was no longer available, so clearly I cannot offer an opinion on this hotel.

Bad experience
Cons:

If anyone stays on a Saturday night & expect to get to sleep before midnight then they will be disappointed, the noise of the music from downstairs was horrendous it was so loud it vibrated the room, & there a church just down the road with a clock on it kept chiming though the night so overall didn't get a lot sleep definitely wouldn't stop there again

Amazing!
Pros:

The room was peaceful. We had a lovely view of the sunrise out of our window. The beds were so comfy! And overall our stay was amazing.

Not my cup of tea!
Pros:

The staff on check in were friendly and the coffee was nice!

Cons:

We checked in and were given directions to the room. The carpets in the halls are threadbare and the general appearance is grubby.
When we entered the room it had not been made up from the last occupant. Our second room overlooked a noisy road and had no net curtains so we had to keep the curtains closed. The kitchen was closed so we had to go elsewhere to eat. The noise from the bar was terrible but it did finish at a reasonable time. The toilet flushed continually and as the bathroom door wouldn't close it meant for a bad night's sleep.
Finally, there was no hairdryer so I had to buy one and then there was nowhere light enough to see to dry my hair or put on makeup! All in all a disappointing stay!

Lovely cozy stay well rested 5 stars
Pros:

Warm welcome, warm room, rustic pub inn feel with decor to match, everything thought off coat hangers lovely soft pillows cozy sofa in room with tea coffee and shower gel soap included.
Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Central to everything tan shop pool and supermarket near by

Cons:

What price a hotel where the restaurant closes at 4.00pm and breakfast is not available till 11.00am? No good for travellers! The George is a bit run down, carpets heavily worn on stairs, room basic, bed not very comfortable, bar very noisy till early hours. They claimed website said my booking was room only but it wasn’t that clear - especially when website emphasised hospitality and quality of food. The good news for the George is that they won’t see me again!
