The hotel was amazing the view the staff all are perfect with the best views and service the sauna and pool was free for the guests highly recommended who want to stay in the heart of Istanbul it is close to Istiklal And Taksim Square perfect location with atmosphere
Worst hotel ever stayed in. We booked two superior rooms rooms. On checkin one of the rooms we were given was very basic room with broken locks and door handle. Blocked sink, very tiny and on terrace with bad views. Too small to even stand infront of beds. Soon after checkin in afternoon the running water was stopped. We tried room phone and found that phone was not working. Went to reception all the way from lifts and were told a lie that it was from water supply company affecting other properties but we found later that was wrong. We couldnt use washroom and use water to freshen up. This lasted for SIX hours and in between they kept on switching off electricity. Wasted one day of stay which was painful as we paid and couldnt get ready to enjoy. There were no bathrobes in both rooms and for the safes in one room had no battery and both were not fixed in cupboards so anyone can take it away. One day someone told when they stopped water again that they were waiting for water tank to fill up.
On booking it says pool and spa but this is trap. These are non functional and not available. We enquired from reception staff and one person gave obvious excuses which dont make sense. Beaware this hotel doesnt have the facilities or water to maintain that.
There was one guest staying there, was unwell as had some surgery done. She was literally at her wits end from the condition the hotel was in and treatment she had from them. No one was listening to her concerns and she was shouting.
Next day at breakfast we were told to pay 5 euro for each omlette although I had breakfast included with price. Checked with management and they stated rules have been changed since booking and we have to pay. At breakfast they didnt even provide proper bread or any suitable items. We couldnt even make tea as we liked as they kept the tea coffee under check. It felt like a worst hostel anyone could imagine. The staff at breakfast is rude and unwelcoming.
Few days later water supply stopped again for hours. Then someone told they had some issue the management is hiding and affects few floors. They didnt inform us or provide water in room for the disruption.
We asked for manager to talk to who never showed up to speak in six days of stay. Never replied to messages online on booking.com.
At night hotel is not safe as there is no security and night person is seen mostly smoking with shady people outside hotel everyday. We were refused drinking water and asked to pay 2 euro each bottle if we needed by management. We went out to buy water bottles at night.
Our flight was late and when we asked to pay for half of day stay to keep our bags and get ready they overcharged again for 6 hours stay and on top they switched off heating of that room too.
When we went to checkout they asked if we used minibar or not. I told we didnt use as didnt need to. Infront of everyone other person sent the girl to room to check as if I was lying or not. This was disgraceful to see how they treat the guests.
I contacted booking.com and informed of all the incidents and service concerns and still waiting for reply. They did mention once when we were there that the hotel has refused any support requested.
Long story short dont stay at this hotel. Its not safe, everything is broken, no water or electricity, really bad breakfast, they will ruin the stay and your holiday, scam you, torment everyday with whatever they can. From outside it seems clean which most people can get deceived from but inside this hotel is really really bad.
Overall, my recent stay was average, with a few significant drawbacks that impacted my experience.
The most disappointing issue was that the spa pool was unavailable during my visit due to repairs. This was a key amenity I was looking forward to, and it should have been communicated clearly upon booking or check-in.
Another frustration was the small, slow lift. It only accommodated two people, which meant I often had to wait ages for it, especially during peak times. Given the size of the hotel, a more efficient lift system is definitely needed.
For those who have to leave early, be aware that the breakfast service starts late. This wasn't ideal for my schedule and could be a major inconvenience for business travelers or anyone needing an early start.
Finally, the location, while central, meant the room was quite noisy from the street below, which occasionally disturbed my sleep.
On the positive side, the room itself was clean and the staff I encountered were generally pleasant. However, these issues kept the overall experience from being better than just mediocre. I hope the management addresses these points to improve future guest stays.
Misrepresentation
I booked Miapera Hotel & Spa – Special Class for September 11–13 through Expedia. The listing (and my booking confirmation) clearly advertised a spa, indoor pool, and hot tub. These amenities were the primary reason for choosing this property above other available hotels. We specifically selected and paid the rate we did because these facilities were included, as they were an important part of the experience we expected.
Upon arrival, I discovered that the spa, pool, and hot tub are closed for renovation, and the hotel never informed me in advance. This is a misrepresentation of the property, as I paid for services that were not available. We were very disappointed not to enjoy this luxury, and it dramatically changed our experience during the stay.
The hotel did offer us a discounted price on a massage treatment as compensation. However, this was not an acceptable alternative — only male therapists were available, we had no interest in paying extra for another massage, and we were not looking for a massage in the first place. We chose this hotel specifically for the advertised spa, pool, and hot tub facilities, not for massage treatments.
This was a great place to stay right in the heart of the city - walkable to Taksim and all its many restaurants and shops. The spa was awesome, and the Turkish breakfast was delicious and plentiful. For the price, this was a great deal! We’d love to come back.
The hotel is amazing enviornment is great the staff is amazing hotel has amazing view. Thank you so much to Yasir for his help in our entire stay
The stay was amazing staff was so nice and the location was so ideal..
Wonderful place to stay, very nice spacious room and staff was excellent! Close to shopping , eating and historic area. Highly recommend
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve had.
The only genuinely positive point was the reception staff — they were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, that’s where the good news ends. The spa area was calm, but even there the Jacuzzi was broken and cold.
I booked what was advertised as a deluxe room, but it was anything but. The plastic flooring was lifting up in places — I actually cut my foot — and it was dangerously slippery, causing me to fall several times. Cleanliness was abysmal: walls covered in marks, grime on the floor, filthy windows blocking what could have been a nice view, a fridge with a foul mouldy smell, and debris littering the corridors.
The décor was outdated and bore no resemblance to the photos online. My curtains were half-detached from the rails, adding to the general feeling of neglect. Breakfast was appalling — on offer were leftover pizza, chips, nuggets, and mozzarella sticks. The restaurant staff were also outright rude, which made the poor food even worse.
This hotel desperately needs a full refurbishment, a deep clean, working facilities, and staff training outside the reception desk. Right now, it’s trading almost entirely on location and misleading pictures. I left feeling frustrated, unsafe, and frankly cheated.
Clean and tidy hotel , had good beds and pleasure to stay at . Would come again.
It’s very good the hotel but the air conditioner it’s so noisy
It was great. I just wish I could have stayed a little longer.
During our stay at the hotel, we had several meals at the in-house restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. The breakfast was not only delicious but also offered a wide variety of choices to suit every taste. What truly stood out, however, was the attitude of the staff — warm, respectful, and always smiling. Their positive energy created such a welcoming atmosphere that made each morning enjoyable. Great service and great food — couldn’t ask for more!
The hotel is a beautiful soave in a super central location. The staff is helpful and the breakfast spread was delicious. The pool was unavailable which was disappointing but other than that, this is a great stay.
After a disappointing stay in February 2025, I was back in Istanbul the following month and so requested to use the hotel for a day while waiting for a connecting flight to London.
The staff welcomed me back, apologised for the previous visit, and assured me they had recognised my feedback.
The spa and pool were considerably better than previously, with the sauna turned on and functioning.
I stayed here for three nights. It was an amazing experience. Majid welcomed me with a smile as I get here. He was really professional & helpful about everything, explained everything nicely. And then through out my stay kept asking if everything was OK. I would recommend to everyone, the stay, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the atmosphere and all in reasonable price.
5 star, top guys.
Stayed in loft room for group of 3, with 2 bathrooms, 1 king and 1 single bed. Bed comfy and clean. Location is strategic and safe as well.
Breakfast restaurant server Zeynep is helpful. But breakfast cooked food variety should increase as only 4-5 choices. Can special request for sunny up eggs.
The miapera hotel is very good. The hospitality was pretty good. And the service was also nice. It was a very good stay. ,,,,,,,,,,;…..

The service thought our 5 night stay was less than good. The staff struggled to acknowledge you at breakfast, not even a smile or good morning.
Upon checking out, we were informed that we must take a seat and wait whilst the room is inspected. I have never felt so insulted. The room was left immaculate by us.
We were told that it was hotel policy to stay until the inspection was complete, but I explained we had only left enough time to make our journey to the train station.
I assured the receptionist that the room was in perfect condition but I must leave as I will miss my train. And that if the hotel had a policy of waiting at checkout, then I should have been informed beforehand so I could make the necessary time.
We left the hotel, with two receptionists running hysterically after us shouting we are breaking hotel policy. How embarrassing for both us and the hotel.
The rooms were actually fairly nice, except the aircon was useless, making the room feel stuffy. Beds were comfortable and the location was good.
I have since checked booking.com policy for the hotel and there is no mention of the mandatory detention we experienced at checkout.
I would not recommend this hotel purely due to the service received
