The boutique hotel with its rich history was charming and provided the amenities we desired. It was very clean and the staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The location was easily accessible to the airport and was not near central London where many of the attractions and entertainment were, but we knew that and chose the hotel for that reason. It was very close to the tube; however, which we took a few times. The food, drinks, and service were all great! We enjoyed watching the World Cup in the bar when England played!
One of our two rooms lacked storage (shelves, drawers, etc.) and neither room had ample bathroom counter spaces to place our belongings. Additionally, we would have preferred more lighting in the bathrooms, near the mirror, for instance. The lift was out of service a few days, but was in service when we moved our luggage and we did not mind taking the stairs during our stay.
Big room and great facilities eg microwave . Transport links excellent
Location
Best rooms are at the back
We stayed there at Christmas time and it was good so we booked it again for June.
Sadly totally different experience.
Location is good, close to Hammersmith station and Holland Park, High Street Kensington.
We booked 21m2 room and it was much smaller. They offered a different one, also asked for quiet room as well as I am a light sleeper sadly. The room that offered was a tiny bit bigger but literally the only window looked for the main road which is very loud.
Was disappointing this time, would have been nice if they would recognised that we stayed there before and a bit more nicer for room allocation- specially if iI ask kindly for quiet room.
If you are lucky you can have a nice room if not well that is bad luck I guess….
I travel and stay over a lot and this was a super friendly, clean, hotel with everything I needed other than a car park. I parked 5 mins walk away at the Novotel, and it was £248 for three nights!!!!
No car park.
Eggs were poor.
They were out of stock for some items such as grapefruit
The reception staff were surly at best and rude at worst

The location is excellent as I was staying for an early appointment the next morning and having it right across the street was extremely convenient. Just a shame the price doesn't quite match the experience.
My single room was directly above the restaurant and bar, and music and vibrations were clearly audible until 10:30pm. In the evening, noise from the neighbouring room — people talking and moving around — was also noticeable. The curtain couldn't be rolled up, and as it didn't cover the full window, it blocked out natural light, forcing me to rely on artificial lighting throughout the stay.
The hotel is located in a great location, the price I paid for the room was very good. Checking in and out absolutely fine. The breakfast was great and staff were friendly. Me and my friend were very happy with our stay here. I would've happily given this place a 9/10 score, but one thing has let it down badly...
The £200 deposit is an astronomical amount to charge, especially when one month on it has still not been refunded. I have contacted the hotel who say the charge has been voided, yet the amount is still showing on my bank account. I have contacted my bank who tell me the issue is definitely with the hotel and that they would be happy to help me, but cannot intervene until 10th July, 30 business days after my stay. This is not good practice from the hotel to leave a customer £200 out of pocket and this practice needs reviewing to prevent it happening again. This is a real shame because I would've gladly stayed here many more times in the future.
Lovely room
Nothing
Really quirky, quite homely. Great air conditioning-much needed! Comfy bed. Decent enough shower.
The check in experience wasn’t good. The receptionist had us stood waiting for ten minutes whilst she dealt with multiple phone calls regarding a booking for the following month. When we asked her if she could please see to us, she informed us that “she was sorry, but this is really important.” After waiting further (and by this point we knew exactly what was going on!), my husband said, “Surely, this can wait?” and she then checked us in. Not a great start! Definitely a staff training opportunity to be had here!
I’ve since emailed the hotel about the pillows and a problem with the iron-no reply after 4 days of waiting….
