The rooms are very spacious, light and clean.
‘Procaffinated’ cafe round the corner does a great breakfast.
The only problem is the road noise but once the windows are closed the noise is reduced considerably.
Our bed was not made terribly well, the sheet wasn’t tucked in at the end of the bed. After our first night I had to remake the whole bed myself!! The sheet had been put on the wrong way!
Always great service, clean and value for money.
We were in an attic room and it was far too hot, even with 2 fans.
The breakfast was fine, and the cafe staff (especially the lovely women at breakfast) were very pleasant. The bed linen was spotlessly white, and the towels were fresh. The third room we were moved to was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Staying at this hotel was a deeply disappointing experience, and two out of our four days felt like a total ordeal. We had originally booked a studio room with a kitchen.
We arrived late in the evening and were checked into our assigned room. It had a sofa covered by a blanket that gave off a terrible stench. When we removed the blanket, we saw why it was covered: the sofa was in appalling condition—stained, filthier than something from a landfill, and covered in food leftovers (like french fries) under the cushions. It felt like a total health hazard. Putting the smelly blanket in the wardrobe ruined that space too, so we couldn't hang our clothes. The room had only one chair alongside this unusable sofa, leaving the bed as the only usable surface. The suffocating odor kept us awake all night.
The next day, we requested a room change. We were moved to another kitchen room, which was much smaller and had two armchairs instead of a sofa. By then, I was ready to accept any room—even a cheaper one—just to escape the horrible stenches (first the foul odor, then plastic). While not dirty, this room had an overwhelming chemical smell of burnt plastic or glue. We left the windows open all day while working, but coming back late, the smell was still there. Leaving the windows open overnight was another mistake: the room faced a busy road, so traffic noise and exhaust fumes filled the room. By morning, the chemical fumes triggered severe allergic coughing, asthma symptoms, and throat swelling.
The next morning, staff initially claimed no rooms were available, despite Booking.com showing availability at our rate. Eventually, they offered us a room in a courtyard wing, which turned out to be clean, quiet, and odor-free. We finally got proper conditions for our last two nights.
Parking warning: The hotel’s £14/night parking fee is written in very fine print. Worse, when our son parked there for just 30 minutes to visit us, he was hit with a £60 fine.
It was comfortable and in a great location
Does not have a bar or mini fridge in the standard rooms
Location. Great bus connections to Salford Quays and Piccadilly Manchester etc. Lovely reception and breakfast staff. Very good breakfast. The room was very clean and well stocked. The room was very comfortable and airy.
We stayed 3 nights 4 days but unfortunately there was no room cleaning ,no towels replaced etc. Although I am sure if you wanted clean towels, coffee, tea etc, you could have asked as we did for more toilet rolls, towels etc . This was not a problem for us but some people might.
Very good location & once staff were made aware of an issue with our room they sorted it promptly & upgraded for the inconvenience
Kitchenette facilities in the room was great, complimentary drinks you could get in reception area were a nice bonus, comfortable beds in the room, room size was huge
Some utensils and equipment for the kitchenette had seen better days
Rooms were a good size and quiet. The free brews in the entrance was a nice treat!
The tv remote was missing, there is no mirror above the dressing table which was awkward to do my hair. Also the bathroom was so slippy. My partner fell out the bath and it’s left him with a large purple bruise on his leg. Even when using the anti slip mat in the shower.
We checked into our room at around 3:00 pm and immediately discovered that the window would not close and was stuck wide open. We reported this to the front desk straight away, but were told that nothing could be done until the night shift started. We were also repeatedly told that the hotel was fully booked and that there were no other rooms available.
We explained that it was not acceptable or safe to have a room with a window that could not be shut. Apart from the obvious security concern, the room was also exposed to constant outside noise, making it uncomfortable to stay in. Unfortunately, the receptionist's attitude was dismissive. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, she commented that "no one can climb up to the third floor to get into your room," which completely overlooked the issues of security, safety, and guest comfort.
We returned to the hotel at around 12:00 am, almost nine hours after first reporting the issue, only to find that nothing had been done and the window was still wide open. As a result, bugs had flown into the room, making it even more unpleasant.
We went back to reception, where the night shift staff came to inspect the window. They made several attempts to close it but were unable to do so. Initially, we were again told that there were no spare rooms available. However, after checking again and spending a considerable amount of time trying to resolve the situation, they eventually managed to find another room for us to move into. The condition of the original room was unacceptable, and the response from the daytime front desk staff was unhelpful, dismissive, and fell well below the standard of customer service we expected.
Good location with safe parking
Room was very hot and not much insulation between rooms. We could hear talking and coughing from next door guests most of the night.
