Pros:

I started off at the TownPlace Suites by Marriott and the experience was so awful I checkout early and moved to this hotel. Fortunately they had availability! The staff were extremely helpful in setting up my new reservation and providing a room that met my expectations. The hotel location was excellent for my needs and the room was very clean, roomy and quiet - virtually no noise. They serve breakfast daily but what I reallly liked was the great coffee that was piping hot! Overall, I would rate the value very good! I did not have time to check out the workout facility or the pool, but they had both! This hotel is very well maintained which can be hard to find especially in smaller towns/cities.

Exceptional Hotel
Pros:

I have traveled a ton over the years including all 50 states and 16 countries, and this hotel is exceptional! It is family owned and their General Manager (Brent) is not only present but hands-on. Within five minutes of arriving, I could tell this was a great hotel. We will by staying at this same hotel in two weeks for a second time. And Best Western is building a brand-new hotel on the west end of Dodge City next to the Casino, scheduled to open in December 2026, and it too will be operated by the same family.

Functional, but one thing worth knowing
Pros:

Two nights, leisure. Mid-range price, mid-range experience — no surprises either way.

The room number signs are off. Each number is embedded in a six-pointed Marshal's star — military, law enforcement, and religious symbolism all at once. A hotel should feel neutral. For many guests, especially given what's going on in the world right now, that imagery doesn't fade into the background — it follows you down the hallway and makes it hard to feel like you've left it all behind. Plain room number tags would fix this instantly.

Gets the job done, but a hotel's job is to help you switch off — and this one small detail works against that.

Gem in North Dodge City!
Pros:

Although this hotel is a bit off the beaten path, everything is close in a small town. I was thrilled to find this place, enjoying Best Western Plus properties and finding a discounted room. This location was easy to find, easy to park, with very helpful and friendly staff, clean and modern common spaces and rooms. I chose a kitchenette room due to the discount. Although i was only staying overnight, the padded kitchen chairs and plentiful table height counter space was very useful. The mattress was comfortable, the bathroom clean, and the room was quiet. The buffet breakfast was hot and plentiful and it was easy to get back on the road from their location. I will definitely stay here again!

We won’t book that hotel again.
Pros:

The location was good. Breakfast was also good.

Cons:

Our room had a spotlight just outside the window that we couldn’t block with curtains. The bathroom had a hole in the wall next to the shower. The refrigerator was noisy. And our keys didn’t work properly.
