My stay at this hotel was terrible. It's extremely uncomfortable because the air conditioning system is so poorly designed, with five (!) air conditioner units located right under my windows. The noise was horrific morning and evening. One of the air conditioners was loud, making a metallic noise every 10 minutes.
When I asked to change my room, they refused. I asked to have one of the air conditioners fixed the next day or to change rooms again, but my request was ignored.
In short, if you're looking for a comfortable hotel, this isn't it. I spent three days living 10 centimeters away from an old, rattling refrigerator.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. The room is large. The staff are polite. And there are food options and a supermarket nearby. And they helped me arrange a car and driver to take me to the border crossing, so I could walk into Sarawak and back to Brunei. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Brunei again.
The hotel has a convenient free airport shuttle and is in walking distance of the main sights and waterfront in the city so it’s a real win for a short stay… just request a room at the back of the hotel as the front is on a busy road so can be quite noisy.
Housekeeping and breakfast staff were great, friendly and forthcoming. Reception staff were not friendly and not always that helpful.
Free airport shuttle is great.
Breakfast is 3/10, hot food was cold and mainly fried, no light healthy options, even fruit was scarce although very available in Brunei.
Beds are comfy, but the rooms are old and the floor was very worn and scuffed, iron board was ripped and stained. Bathroom tiles are old and mouldy in corners.
Limited TV channels, but could log into Netflix and YouTube available. Free Wifi in rooms and public areas with good reception.
Totally recommend Gadong Night Market for dinner (approx 2.5km) cash only. Freshly made affordable street food widely used by locals with plenty of areas to sit. Kept very clean.
- The hotel it's not far away from the center, but you need to go by car.
- Very friendly and helpful staff. They can organize for you any tour you want.
- Very comfortable rooms (superior).
- Clean room and bathroom.
- There is a supermarket behind the hotel.
- Very old-fashioned lobby. It looks like you are many many years back. There are some tables and chairs (very old-fashioned) which are used for breakfast also. The tablecloths and the chairs; covers (for the tables and the chairs at the lobby) were very old and very old-fashioned.
- Very old-fashioned breakfast room and very small.
- Most options of the buffet were Asian food, but not as the Asian food as you know. It was difficult to eat anything. Only some toast bread.
Located nice and close to the centre an easy and safe walk, night or day. The pool was good to cool off in and the room was big, clean and comfortable.
I spent 3 nights here. Overall, it's a nice hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient! The breakfast varied each day and was consistently excellent!! After a lot of walking, it was great to relax by the pool!! One thing to keep in mind is that it's a bit of a walk to and from downtown. However, the 42 or 45 buses stop right at the hotel, making it quite convenient!
Stayed here for 3 nights. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The water heater is functional and the water strength is strong.
Room:
- Provided with 1 extra pillow
- 1 hair dryer (Really good to use!)
- 1 iron + ironing board
- 1 small fridge
Breakfast: Average
The room also came with a Smart TV. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely repeat again!
Good
The air-conditioning is cold, the room is cozy, and the bathroom has a working bidet and shower heater. The mattresses are a bit tough, but you can definitely work with them. The hotel is near a lot of restaurants, a money changer, and a quaint mall. It's also walking distance to the Omar Ali Saifuddian Mosque through Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas, a picturesque park you'll pass by on the way to the main city. The staff members are very friendly as well. There are different convenient facilities, including a hairdryer, ironing board, and a free shuttle service that can bring you to and from the airport. This is especially useful if you don't have a sim card yet and can't book a Dart (which can be pricey). You'll get your money's worth here at Badi'ah Hotel.
Complimentary airport transfer.
Great position for our needs. Shower was grubby though
Best hotel for stopover as they provide airport shuttle .
This hotel is quite close to Hospital RIPAS , shopping center: Komplex Mohammed Yusof hotel/apartment and supermarket. There are one japanese restaurant on 1st floor and one Bristodeli cafe/bistro on ground floor to order meal and takeout . There is special event on ramadan -buffet all you can eat on 2nd floor. The small but cozy seimming pool are also on 2nd floor with openair. One disadvantage is noise from traffic on main street, even late night.
I really enjoyed the ease of access and the security services for the rooms. The restaurant downstairs was easy and convenient if a quick meal was required without any travel. Staff are quick to address issues and pleasant to work with.
the stay was amazing. hotel is clean and they have helpful and friendly staff. food tastes great as well. once im back in Darussalam, will definitely stay here again!
We were allowed to have a late check out and stored luggage after check out. Great staff and very helpful.
We enjoyed our stay at the Badi’ah hotel in late December 2024. It was good value for money. The hotel is in a good location with lots of food places nearby. The room was clean and a good size. The people at the front desk were very helpful. We really enjoyed being able to walk into town over the bridge. The breakfast was average, rather cold and the same every day, but apart from that, it was a great place to stay. The free airport pick and drop was a big help too!
Like the hotel. Good internet. TV had English news. Breakfast was good. The pool was nice. There is a super market right behind.
