The Hotel is very beatiful, everthing is very clean und the staff is very helpful. Breakfast an dinner was very delicious, big thank you to the cooks!
Friendly n helpful host. Clean. Superb view.
Steps but it’s ok. It’s part of Kundasang
The staff are all so nice and friendly. We can leave our luggage’s during the hike at Mount Kinabalu we can also order lunch for the hike and they even helped arrange transportation to the Kinabalu HQ.
Basic toiletries are all except tooth brush and toothpaste, there are slippers, towels, toilet paper etc
Nothing to dislike if you want to experience staying in authentic kampung house.
Room is very old
Molto bene.
Niente.
Near to KNP
The room 20 is too shabby for the price.
Beautiful lodge, we stayed in room 24 which have direct view of mount kinabalu. Near to kinabalu park, just 5 mins drive. Good rest stop prior hiking with complimentary breakfast.
Clean rooms, but unfortunately, the smell of mold overpowers everything.
The smiling lady working in the kitchen. A very helpful lady at the reception; she was kind enough to help us contact the bus company, as the bus hadn't arrived on time.
The cats! Very cute and cuddly 😻
1. Heads up! It looks much nicer and cozier in the photos than in reality. We paid extra for a "garden view," but what we see out the window is the restaurant roof and a few trees. No garden view.
2. The room is very musty and smells strongly of mold—especially the bathroom. The floors are uneven.
We stayed in the family room above the restaurant. The smell of food wafted in through the bathroom window and into one of the bedrooms. It was nauseating. The soundproofing was poor, too; we could clearly hear the staff starting food prep at 5:30 AM.
3. The mattress. It’s very uncomfortable and hard. You can really feel the springs. We slept very poorly during the three nights we stayed here.
4. It says breakfast is included. That means you get coffee, tea, white bread, butter, rice, and noodles. If we wanted eggs, an omelet, scrambled eggs, etc., we had to pay extra.
5. The area is generally overpriced. A local driver took us from the hotel to the park entrance. He charged "only" (as he put it) 30 MYR for a 3-minute drive. That’s absolutely insane! We tried using "Grab," but no one would accept the request. So, we were stuck in this godforsaken place for a whole day. We couldn't wait to get out of there.
We feel like the people in this area are just ripping tourists off.
It’s the first time we’ve visited a country where we had to pay just to go for a hike. And we’ve done a lot of backpacking.
Good service
