The area seemed a bit deserted and unkempt, there was a hotel nearby that was abandoned and run down as well as a large office building that was abandoned and sprayed with graffiti.

the hotel staff will be attentive (or at least available when I need them) and courteous. Huge hotel no-nos for me consist of rude, unavailable, and/or disinterested staff, dirty linens and/or silverware, and poorly maintained bathrooms. I think that these are basic things that are easy to rectify!

This was a lovely one-night stay and a lovely hotel. Clean and comfortable, with EXTREMELY nice staff and beautiful views of the Red Sea. There were only minor negatives, which means I wouldn't stay for more than a day or two, but it is fine for a short-term stay. First, it's located in a very beautiful area with absolutely nothing to do. This isn't the hotel's fault, the area never developed as planned. But the hotel itself has no amenities - they have a men's gym, but nothing for women. Since you're in the middle of nowhere, it would be nice to have a spa or lounge or something. If you do want to go to the small grocery store or limited nearby restaurants, the only transportation is an expensive hotel taxi, which can cost you about $100 for a mile or two. They also didn't have a coffee machine, which made it seem like a small motel rather than a 5-star hotel (they said the only way to get a coffee machine was to upgrade to an executive suite - weird in a modern expensive hotel). Finally, the bathroom had no fan or ventilation, so it stayed foggy and wet from our showers for the entire time we were there - if we opened the door it made the rest of the room foggy. This is fine for two days, but more than that and it would have been annoying. Other than these things, loved the experience. The food was absolutely delicious, much better than hotel food. Even though we stayed in Ramadan, the room service was fully available and great. Would stay again for a short term visit.

Good hotel

The Hotel was excellent, the room were spacious, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Dated hotel. Stains on carpets and counters.

As i used to expect from Bay La Sun , they have checked me in with dirty room ( not been cleaned since previous guest ), bathroom found dirty , bad smell and women pads found in the trash. Housekeeping service is really terrible and badly need improvements .

They charge me twice the price even though I paid through Expedia. Also there was loud music after midnight and there was no action taken after complaining.

Wheb I booked, I wrote that I want a high floor room, but they gave me in the first floor. After talking with them they gave me another room in the floor no. 3 but I was waiting them for 1 hour. In addition, the room view was bad. They said the room has views to the city but the view wasn't.

I will not deal with this hotel again.
