I like Hotel Petaling, a budget friendly family hotel very very much. I am from India. I had booked a triple bed Ac room with attach bath for 3 days by Hotels.com.I had paid Rm198 at hotel including all taxes. I stayed here in May 2019 with my wife and 14 year old son.
This hotel has lift and free wifi. Room and bathroom are clean. Tv,basin and wall mounting fan also available in our Ac room. Hot and cold drinking water is also available in all floors.
Very good location:- This hotel is at Petaling street (China town) of Kuala lumpur.
Sri Mahamariamman and Guan di temple are only 300m away.
7eleven store 200m.
Pasar seni Hub 400m from hotel for metro station Mrt,Lrt. Go kl bus (purple line starting point) ,Rapid kl bus available here.
Central market, Kasturi walk 1km.
Many good Indian restaurant like Vinny Jeeya and chinese restaurants are 400m away. Street food also available near this hotel.
Front desk employees are very helpful . On our request they store our luggage for few hours after our chech out of room.

It is great for a budget hotel. The staff are friendly, can let you check in earlier if nobody is in your room

All good as usual, poor wifi was the only drawback.

When budget is a concern good hotel without any compromise in cleanliness and comfort. Location in Chinatown is a plus.

Staff was not very friendly. Near to Sentral station.

Happy and enjoy the visit

We liked our stay at this hotel. It's a geat location and the rooms are affordable for budget travellers. The two employees who work in the morning ate really kind. Check the rooms beforehand. Some of the rooms are nicer than other, and some rooms smell a lot like cigarettes.

For the price, the hotel was fine. The air conditioning worked well and everything was passable. However, be aware that the walls are extremely thin and there was a very large gap under our door that let in a lot of sound. I saw some bugs, and it wasn't the cleanest place, but I was happy with it for the price I paid.

The location is excellent--just moments from the Petaling shopping street.

Walking distance to bus, MRT and railway stations. Basic accomodation at a reasonable for the cost.

Nice hotel, pleasant stay.

The Hotel is 2 step away from the Central Market, just outside Chinatown, so really well situated and relatively quiet. The staff is very nice, the room ok. However, there was a really bad smell in the room, and the hotel condition / cleanliness is so so. It is ok for a night or two, but not really better.

The room was clean (TRIPLe room), there was an elevator but only up to 4th floor. We were able to rest well in our room and enjoyed the comfort our room has to offer. However, poor customer service from the receptionists, rising tone and a bit rude and we felt slightly discriminated. We hesitated to ask questions because it seems that there's no willingness to help. Overall, thumbs up for the room experience and budget friendly accommodation!

Upon arrival, the old guy was the receptionist at that time. We arrived around 11PM. He was not in the mood to assist us. We asked few questions but he wasn't that polite and courteous. Instead he replied with a rising tone. He was a bit rude and we felt discriminated just because we are Filipinos or Asian guests not foreigners. With the room, we're very much comfortable because it was clean and everything were provided plus the price was very reasonable and affordable. The main reason why my parents decided not to continue our bookings with them for the remaining days it is because of poor customer service from the receptionist. But overall experience with our stay in the room was amazing!

The hotel staff are very courteous, helpful and approachable. We are very satisfied with our stay there. We managed to go to places that we wanted with the help and advice from the staff. They really guide us and explain to us how to go to the places we wanted and they gave us ideas too. Thank you very much to the staff there.

Easy access to anywhere transport, get mosleem halal food

We were unsure of staying here when we first arrived, but we stuck with it and ended up glad we did. Good location near entrance to Chinatown which was fun for easy access to the markets and very close to a tram station, one stop from KL Sentral. The room (sheets, towels, etc.) did not appear to be thecleanest but you could tell they were washed and smelled clean. The room also did not have any windows. Morning staff were very friendly and attentive to our requests.

Wonderful reception staff, close to Chinatown and most forms of transport

excellent location,room is OK but the toilet is in need of repair ( not flushing correctly)
