Comfortable room, very good and friendly service. The inclusive package gave us bed and breakfast plus dinner. Central location for exploring South Ayrshire.

We enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

Comfortable bwdrooms. Very well cleaned.Staff were very helpful. The hotel is very convenient if attending events at Dumfries House.

Cons:

No lift to the second floor.
We went down for breakfast at 8.45am, and were told there was no fruit left, which was rather disappointing.

Pros:

Very good breakfast and evening meal. The shower was super strong.

Cons:

The bin men at 6.30am woke us up. Lack of headroom, due to sloping ceiling.

Ideal for our needs as a wedding guest at local Lochside Hotel
Pros:

Very clean, enormous room. Quiet despite the fact we overlooked the road, comfortable bed

Cons:

The on site pub was not so comfortable as the restaurant bar which closed at 8:30

Highly recommend
Pros:

Great location since we had a wedding in New Cumnock. Room was very clean and (unexpectedly) big. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice

Cons:

The heater in my (and in my friends' room) bathroom could not be turned off, which led to it being extremely hot in the room - having the windows open didn't help enough so I grabbed the fan they had available.

Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely hotel. Great food and a good choice on the menu. Good breakfast choice.

Cons:

Our room was above the function room, so on the Saturday night it was quite noisy, room number 1. I would ask for a quiet room in future.

Needs a revamp and would help to have a reception desk instead of in the restaurant.
Pros:

Good location. 2 rooms were ready early.

Cons:

Our stay was unfortunately disappointing due to several issues with both service and housekeeping.

When we returned to the hotel after attending a wedding, our key cards were not working. We went to get them fixed, but the staff member behind the bar was quite rude and chose to continue serving others rather than assist us, which was frustrating after a long day.

The experience didn’t improve the next morning at breakfast. Despite the room being empty, when we sat down we were met with a sarcastic comment from a staff member, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming.

On a more positive note, we had booked three rooms and two of them were ready before we arrived, which we appreciated. However, the third room had clearly not been properly cleaned, as there were still towels left on the floor from the previous guest.

Overall, while there were a couple of positives, the poor customer service and lack of attention to detail significantly impacted our stay.
