I stayed in Room No.5518 for a week. The hotel is located strategically approximate 5 minutes drive to city centre, and 30 minutes drive from the international airport.
JW Marriott Hotel Zhengzhou is the landmark of Zhengzhou, housed at a pagoda alike building tower in the new Central Business District. It is a hotspot for exhibitors as the Convention & Exhibition Centre is just next door. The hotel rooms enjoy commanding views over city skyline and Ruyi Lake.
Besides the complete range of hotel facilities, its human capital are the assets of the hotel. Ms.Yee, Karl and Thierry (Hotel Reception), Ms.Lisa Dong (Customer Service) and Johnny (Concierge) are great employees who exhibited high level of customer service. However, Jessica of the restaurant which provides Buffet Breakfast may require to undergo further training as she seems to work based on her mood-swing.
Overall, it is a great hotel with great experience.
The hotel is a landmark in itself…there is plenty of shopping, nightlife, culture around.. even museums if one is inclined.
Breakfast was pretty decent.. though they should increase their vegetarian options.
Rooms are very nice as are the bathrooms… the shine would shine in and wake me every winter morning
Older looking rooms could do with a renovation.
Guests in the pool fitness area changing rooms were smoking !

The service from front door to check in was good. Upgraded due to my Ambassador status. The suite was large, but with old fashioned browns. Good that the telly had HBO for me to watch White lotus

I really enjoyed the hotel infrastructure and amenities. But for me it is the staff that make it a great experience. Especially friendly and helpful with assisting me with my Chinese pronunciation was "Jessica" in the dining room. She is a STAR!

Hotels.com에서 예약한 금액 하루 1,000위안과 달리, 체크인 시에 하루 2,000위안으로 디파짓이라고 결제를 해야한다하고 체크아웃시 잔액을 돌려준다고 했는데 그게 처리가 안되고 있습니다. 출장이라서 회사비용처리해야하는데 매우 곤란한 상황이네요
I made reservation at less than 1,000 yuan per day thru hotel.com, but the hotel charged me 2,000 yuan per day when checking in, saying they would refund the rest when checking out. The refund is not happening right away, and the hotel has no emails that i can contact in English (i cant speak Chinese at all, so cannot talk with them over the phone). The hotels.com reservation number is 72058305084103, could you please check the current status with the hotel?
Camere non insonorizzate.. Addirittura il fumo da sigaretta della stanza accanto arrivava nella mia tanto da dover cambiare stanza a mezzanotte perché l aria era irrespirabile e il personale non ha fatto nulla per far smettere i vicini, nonostante la struttura sia classificata come Smoking Free!!!
Nice location. Many of the public areas and some rooms stink of cigarette smoke. The second hand smoke also comes in via the air-conditioning
The non-smoking policy in this hotel is clearly not observed or enforced.
Service in the lounge bar was painfully slow
Loved my view. It was really beautiful. Staff were really nice, except for the check in desk. A bit rude at times. Concierge and cleaning crew were awesome, very nice people. The last night i had to call 20 times to try to get ice from room. I had to go by the elevators before they even picked up. If you are an American or foreigner especially a woman, the Chinese come first. Upon exchanging money, i was interrupted everytime someone wanted something from the hotel desk. Customer Service wasn't really the strong key here with the exception of the Concierge and cleaning staff..
I can recommend everybody to book at this hotel for a stay in Zhengzhou.
It has all comfort you expect from a hotel operating in this class.
Even if my stay was short I enjoyed every minute of it.

This is a new area for us to visit, not a lot around the hotel but thankfully Paulina’s was great for dinner and drinks and very friendly staff

I would like to special mentioned your colleague: Dani from Exe club lounge for assisting us throughout. And also to all members of the lounge who have been very helpful. Rooms were ok, somehow or rather, i always smell cigarette smoke everywhere i go. People couldn’t careless about non smoking indoor policies. It is frustrating especially with young children.
The iconic building is a very attractive exterior, but the interior really need refurbishment. Especially the plumbing and ventilation seemed to have problems. When we checked in we were very happy that our room were "upgraded", but after hours of waiting we entered a suite with really strong toilet smell, so stinky like in public toilet. We complained and asked for another room. First the Receptionist told us no other room available but a maintenance staff was sent to our room to check. The staff did also smell the unpleasant aroma of the room. We asked her to tell the manager that it would be impossible to stay in that stinky room. Then some one looked like a duty manager came and bring us to another room, which was OK. So we stayed at the hotel. Otherwise all was OK although not as good as we had expected of a JW Marriott hotel brand.
