SOCO Hotel

My wife and I booked this hotel for 9 nights. When we arrived to check in, they told us that there had been a mistake with the booking and that we could only stay there for 1 night. The next morning, they tried to over charge us for the 1 night, and still insisted that we leave the hotel. They eventually agreed to give us a discount for the inconvenience and paid for a grab for us to head to our new hotel down the road. Although I don’t think this is the norm, it was a pretty terrible experience.

This hotel is located in a good location,close to the beach,spas,restaurants,activities.It was a little noisy from my room but I didnt mindthe room is spaciousand clean.The receptionists spoke English.I didnt fancy the breakfast but none the less it was worth the money

Have to go to Karim Restaurant or Kampung Melayu Restaurant
Convenience shop nearby
But the steps to lobby without rails and not easy to bring up bags
Around 200m from beach
Souvenirs hawker always selling in front of hotel

So disappointed, paid for early check-in, they checked me in later than the normal check in hour. I had to wait for a very long time. Then the hotel was not as expected at all, no service no air conditioner, no a good shower, just horrible. Better book somewhere else

Worst travel experience with this hotel. Not what it shows on the reviews. Staff rude, not helpful, refused to assist with any enquire. Backpackers stay would have been more inviting. The executive room we booked had leaking water, a bed that was second to a swag. I would recommend my worst enemy to stay here. The safe is a box in the closet….

An ok hotel at a low cost. This hotel is probably a 2, maybe 3 star hotel at best. The price was good and the room seemed fairly clean. But something about the room made me very uncomfortable.

The shower was a let down, a bit grubby. There was foul smell on arrival which cleared up after an hour or so.
There were toothbrushes there but no soap available by the sink, only the shower… which is close but not ideal when the floor is wet.

Great Value. Room and facilities are fine. No complaints. The hotel room window had no classic view of the city or beach, but oddly the shower window had the best view of the city from the room. Maybe opt for a balcony view next time.
Proximity to beach and nearby resturants. Not far from the Airport.
Reception & lifts area is light, pleasant and spacious.
Reception staff are fine.
Views from the roof are good. Hotel close to great beach.
Overall great value.

There was blood stains as well as others on the bed. The bathroom was not great and the staff did not care.

When we complained and asked for new sheets, the replacements were also dirty and had to be changed.

Manager couldn’t even come out of office when complaining.

The photos of the hotel and reality are a little inaccurate.

Hotelkamer was goed. S ochtends werden we om 7u wakker gemaakt door geboor. Bij navraag, kregen we excuus en de uitleg dat er werkzaamheden waren. Naast excuus geen compensatie gekregen, vond dit slechte service en zou daarom het hotel niet aanraden. Vooraf geen melding gekregen dat er werkzaamheden zouden zijn.

I would avoid at all costs. Booked this property 2 months ago and day before arriving they cancelled. We were flying from uk and had to arrange new accomodatiom during our stopover. No apology nothing. Appauled is an understatement. All other hotels were more expensive due to last minute booking. Furious!!!!!!

Budget hotel, did the job and the bed was very comfortable. Good location and walking distance to the beach.
Unfortunately our air conditioning was not working - we realised this at midnight when we had returned to our room. It was difficult to communicate this to hotel staff as they spoke minimal English (we had to use Google Translate). Thankfully we were able to move to a different room. The bathroom had no shower screen or curtain, and the entire bathroom was flooded after each person took a shower.

This hotel was in a convenient location. 5 min walk to the beach! It’s on a very main road though so you can hear honking late at night and early in the morning. There is a 24 hour minimart right next door that was convenient and an ATM. We rented a motorbike from the hotel which was also convenient. We have been overwhelmed with how friendly staff have been in Vietnam and just didn’t get that vibe from this hotel. There was a buffet breakfast 2 mornings (it was so-so, and the staff seemed very confused that we wanted to eat there and we would pay, it wasn’t included in our room rate) and then the third morning the restaurant was empty. When we asked about breakfast they said that it was a-la-cart and you had to order the day before. When our motorbike ran out of gas at night and the gas station was closed, we walked the bike back to the hotel and they showed us Google translate on their phone “bike broken, you pay”. Da Nang was a really busy city, not to our taste and I think the hotel just didn’t add anything great to our trip.

Staff was really friendly. Rooms were really clean, comfortable, and spacious.

The check in reception can only speak 10% English, super difficult to communicate. The check out reception is a lot better, at least 60%. II don’t expect the reception can speak another language in different country, but have to have a way to communicate .
The worst thing I don’t like is the toilet is right next to the shower without any separation, so every time after you take the shower, the toilet will be wet. You need to take the toilet paper to a safe place to make sure won’t get wet. The housekeeping is doing a good job, the room is clean. To be fair, you only pay US$20 for a night, you cannot expect anything, but those are the things for the improvement.

I stayed in Song Cong Hotel again after 9 months. This time, with my family members.

We stayed in two deluxe double rooms as the better family suite were sold out.

The same warm smile and efficient check in services from the front desk.

They help me to call a grab car to Hoi An as I have not yet prepare a local SIM.

No complaint for the price i paid.

방은 넓고 침대도커서 좋았는데 전체적으로 낡았어요. 그리고 벌레 나온다른소리 있었는데 전 못봤어요.

방 시설이 낡았어요. 하지만 가격이 싼 만큼 감수할 부분이라고 생각해요. 방크기는 엄청 넓어요.
