Rundum gute Unterkunft in Stadtnähe

Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Hotels in NewYork sind die Zimmer sehr geräumig. Die Einrichtung ist modern, die Betten sehr bequem.
Die Aussicht auf die Skyline von der Terrasse wunderschön.
Man kann es mit der Subway gut erreichen und braucht eine gute Stunde vom JFK - der Fußweg ist etwas mühsam, war für uns (beide 50) aber gut zu machen.
Wir hatten auch für drei Tage einen Mietwagen, denn wir in den umliegenden Straßen parken konnte - man muss nur auf die Schilder achten.
Das Frühstück war an 8 Uhr für unseren Geschmack etwas zu spät. Für amerikanische Verhältnisse war es vollkommen okay und man geht schon mal satt in den Tag.
Wir würden hier immer wieder hinfahren.

Comfortabel, hip hotel op een fijne lokatie. Het ontbijt scoorde wel een onvoldoende

Comfortabel en karakteristiek hotel op een heel goede lokatie

Cons:

De kamer was wat donker. De airco maakt veel lawaai. Het ontbijt was ronduit slecht, niet passend bij de prijs en niveau van dit hotel

Pros:

Walking distance to cafes and shops in Greenpoint.

Cons:

Gym was tiny, breakfast was horrible, paper cups instead of real mugs in the room, flies everywhere in the room and hallway. Just overall didn’t feel clean and should’ve mentioned room was in the basement.

Bed bugs and fleas
Cons:

We booked two rooms. One had bed bugs and one had fleas. The staff was resistant and not helpful. We had to convince them to find an extra room at another hotel since there were no other rooms available at the Norman.
