Stayed at this hotel a number of times and will stay again.
Pros:

Good located hotel with parking and SPA facilities and 24 hour bar plus room service. Beach only a ten minute walk away.

Cons:

Stayed in the lodge building as part of a group. This is little bit dated but a good sized clean room.

Not recommended! We stayed at Best Western Chilworth the night before which was fab & great value for money - Best W

The location of the property was good within easy walking of all we wanted to see / visit.

Cons:

The Lodge was very tired. Our room had areas of damp, paint peeling off the skirting boards, room and bathroom in desperate need of refurb☹️
We thought we were booked into the main hotel - this was not made clear on the booking. Also the need to pay an additional £12 for parking. We ended up paying £145 for a room plus breakfast which was then advertised at only £69 on the day!!!

The Connaught lodge is very run down and the rooms are in serious need of an upgrade.
Pros:

The restaurant in the main hotel was clean and tidy. The food was ok.

Cons:

The Connaught lodge is very run down, room we stayed in is in serious need of an upgrade. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Room card had to be re-programmed 3 times whilst we were there (2 nights). Had issues with the room next to us, loud TV gone 11pm, reception staff not really too bothered.

Pros:

We have used this hotel before & stayed in the lower ground floor. This occasion we were situated on the 3rd floor. The rooms are much better here & bright & spacious.
Used the pool area in the main hotel which was a bonus. We had an enjoyable 2 days at this hotel & would use again.

Cons:

Unfortunatly the breakfast is now a buffet style which when we last stayed the hot breakfast was served streight from the kitchen which we prefer as its hot. The problem with the hot food being served buffet style it doesn't stay hot enough & if you are late at breakfast then its been sitting around for a while beforehand. Same with the cold breakfast if your a late arrival the milk for the cereal tend to be warm. Maybe a small fridge to keep the milk in would be a solution to this?

The stay was very very good.
Pros:

I love their breakfast. Lots to options to choose from and it's tasty. I like where theroom is located. I love the size of the room and the sun shining through.

Food in the morning, spa was lovely

Cons:

Not enough pillows they are to low for someone who can’t lay flat due to getting dizzy,
And didn’t like the fact now got to pay £50 a night for any breakables that may happen, on top off the cost, there was nothing to say this with on booking the hotel,
And doors was out off order all week that was there meaning you needed to walk round

Pros:

The Lodge is next door to the main hotel so you can enjoy all the hotel facilities then return to the quiet lodge.

Cons:

The lodge is slightly dated, comfortable and clean but slightly dated, however this is reflected in the price.
