New York and the location of this hotel is perfect.
Pros:

Looking out my window and seeing riverside park! The location is peaceful and location to restaurants etc is perfect for walking.

Cons:

Lack of refrigeration but unsure if there’s space in the common area that guests can use

This is fine for an inexpensive crash pad for one night, but not for an extended stay.
Pros:

The low cost for a single room on the Upper West Side is a great deal.

Cons:

The room is VERY small, the bed just fits in it, plus a small sink and the bathroom. There's no coffee in the room, just in the lobby in the morning. No breakfast. And no TV unless you buy movies or connect your phone to access your own streaming services - I found that especially annoying.

Ideal for those who plan on spending most time outside their hotel room.
Pros:

The Riverside Hotel sits at an ideal location in Manhattan with immediate access to a number of notable places to easily access within walking distance. Rooms are very well maintained and the staff is beyond helpful and considerate.

Cons:

Shower floor is not well separated from the rest of bathroom leading to easy leakage elsewhere. Sink is also awkwardly built needing you to place hands right up against its edge to wash hands.

A good bolthole for NY exploring on a budget

It was easy to access, small but comfortable rooms

Great hotel with riverside view as advertised
Pros:

The staff, both nights and mornings were very welcoming and helpful. Room was compact but very well organized. The “riverside view” was exactly as advertised!

Perfect small place
Pros:

Even though my room was really small, I appreciate very much the staff, the kindness and possibility to check in even in late night hours. I especially liked the location two minutes away from the bus station or from the Metro station surrounded with plenty of restaurants and a nice places and only a few minutes away from the central park. Love it.

Great stay
Pros:

Even rooms are really small I very much appreciate the stuff the kindness and possibility to check in even in very late night hours. the place is surrounded with a lot of restaurants - very near to the Central Park and only two minutes away from the bus and Metro station

Ok for the price
Pros:

Price

Cons:

My room was 65 degrees and heat never went on. Had to call maintenance when we got home from evening out at 1am to fix and he couldn’t get it working so we had to move rooms at 1:30 in the morning. TV was only available through streaming services and couldn’t even get local stations, which for someone in my age was really annoying.
