Station House Inn - Near Heavenly Gondola

Excellent hospitality with a friendly reception. Seth was really helpful with local suggestions. All staff were happy to help. Warm rooms. A great location between the noisier main street and the Lake so a pleasant short walk either way.

Lovely staff, facilities and amenities! Cozy fireplace with games, good coffee in the morning, comfy and clean rooms, super cute pool, and great little restaurant onsite. We will def be back!

Bed was worn out making it difficult to sleep. Housekeeping offered on every third day but only gave you one set of towels.

Was assigned to a room that was already occupied. When returning the key to someone else's room, staff had a conversation about "how could that happen" instead of fixing the issue and not wasting more of my time.

This motel is just the cutest! We had a really pleasant stay. It’s quiet, the property is very nice, and the bed was comfy.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, the hotel looked cozy and nice from the booking info. It was absolutely a gem, easy walk to food, shopping, and the casinos, plenty of free parking, the rooms are spacious, and the bathroom was impressively large. The lobby is cozy and u can enjoy coffee or tea on couches by a nice fire. We enjoyed the heated pool and jacuzzi, we didn't try the adjacent restaurant but it looks nice. Nice hotel, give it a try!

My go to anytime I’m working in the area and pet friendly

It’s OK. Expedia rated this property at 9.0. This property is no where close to a 9.0. I am guessing the reviews are way inflated and this is discerning. I am ok with the place, but I selected this place at 1/2 the price of the grand reserve Marriott property across the street and it is not worth half the price. Maybe 1/3 the price or 1:4 the price. Just saying. I gave it a shot, but will stay across the street next time.

We stayed on the back side of the hotel and it was nice and quiet. The room had a bit of a funky smell (maybe because the hotel is older), but the decorations were unique and it was clean. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and bar/restaurant attached. I wish we had time to use the fire pit and the free s’mores package. The free breakfast is really just snacks and coffee, but it was appreciated. The complimentary drink upon check was a nice touch and a great way to end a long drive. We’ll be back at Station House!

Don’t use EXPEDIA …. They charged DOUBLE the going rate!!!!!!!!!! I put in reservations early … shortened the reservation by one night. I checked in and out with two other people I knew…. They checked in and out at exactly the same time as me…..I WAS CHARGED DOUBLE THEIR PRICING!!!!!!!!!! EXPEDIA COMPLETELY TOOK ADVANTAGE!! It SHOULDNT be legal?!!!
Then there was the Station House itself. The front desk was rustic and charming BUT that’s where it ends…as you walk into the room, the smell of chemicals was overwhelming!! The front desk could see I knew the people checking in right after me and that I was paying double their stay…. They stayed the exact nights… I asked for a correction and they answered that Expedia was responsible for my billing….they got to capture $300 + as the middle man…AGAIN …. THIS SHOULDNT BE LEGAL?!!!
The room was pitch black …. One of the others that checked in requested extra lighting to be able to see in the bathroom area!! They didn’t have irons … the staff ( whom was the only lovely part) did finally come up with a steamer…. That I was asked to immediately return ! Fortunately,was in Tahoe to attend an event up the street…. I can’t imagine spending one more moment in that room than I absolutely had to!! The chemical smell of the room was overwhelming and it felt as though you were in a cave or dungeon… the picture of the room had to have professional lighting for the brightness!

The staff there is excellent. They were all nice and helpful and we appreciated the free drink and cocoa/tea bar at night after the concert we attended. The property is nice and we liked the lounge area. The room was clean, but I will say the shower needed attention with cleaning and there was a definite musty smell to the whole room. That and the fact that the AC kept blowing the blackout curtains apart were the only reason why I knocked a star off.

We love it. Cozy! We would stay here again in future!

The room felt a bit musty and outdated. This hotel works if you're staying just one night.
