Lady doing breakfast was very friendly and breakfast was good. Good location with the trolley stop outside. Casino was good with free wine
Reception staff quite abrupt. Asked if I spoke english. I'm from England he had my passport???
The location was great and easy to get to
The stairs are difficult with luggage. The breakfast was not good. I think this could easily be improved
The desk clerk was extremely helpful trying to get the reservation straightened out because even though my credit card company said payment was approved the system said my card was denied. When I called booking.com all I could get was AI which was not helpful. If not for the clerk going the extra mile we would have not had a place to stay

Just writing this because I used this site to pick my hotel in Deadwood and would have chose differently had I known what I know now. I don't consider a 3 out of 5 a bad rating for this, it's just average. If you need a place to stay in Deadwood and don't want to pay top pricing for lodging, this isn't a bad choice. It's not the best either. The staff was amazing and super friendly. The hotel needs an update, but it's not horrible. The location is good, but you will have to have transportation to get to "Downtown" as it's too far to walk. However, the Deadwood Trolley has two stops right in front of the hotel, which makes using the trolley easy. Breakfast is complimentary but minimal and "mid" at best. It's nothing great, but it's better than cold donuts and pastries. We didn't use either but it did have a nice indoor pool and hot tub. Room was smaller than I had hoped, but was manageable for a 5 night stay.
The room was very clean and the facility is very well kept

Great location and all staff were friendly and helpful.
Shower faucet was leaking both down the stall and in the wall which resulted in water damage of the wall and staining of the shower floor. Air conditioner cooled the room but did not seem to reduce the humidity well, leaving things feeling damp.
Friendly staff, good breakfast and clean room
Parking was tight.
The hotel in general and the room was very clean. Staff was extremely friendly and great value for the money
