Convenient to the beach in Monterey.
Pros:

Good location near the beach. It’s an older property which for the most part has been nicely kept up.

Cons:

Room seemed a little dank. The carpet was old and did not seem at all pristine. If they replaced the carpet with tile the room would have been perfect.

Excellent stay in the heart of Santa Barbara
Pros:

The location is hard to beat, right inside the funk zone. The room was spacious, modern, clean, quiet, with strong air conditioning to battle the heat of Santa Barbara in summer. It is pricey but I guess you get what you pay for. Reception desk gave us some solid recommendations on where to eat and drink in town too, which was highly appreciated.
