Hotel Seri Malaysia Taiping

In desperate need of some attention. Walls were cracked and peeling. Ceiling tiles in bathroom were moldy and falling down. Electrical outlet pulling away from wall. Cobwebs. Hasn’t seen a new coat of paint in years and the last one was poorly down.

I can’t say anything positive about the breakfast.

Amy at reception was the one very positive exception to this place. She helped me to a arrange a cab even after she was done for the day!

Love the pool and the close proximity to the Lake Garden. Having the ironing board in the room is so helpful. The hotel looks tired inside and out. However, it is comfortable and reasonably clean. Will consider it again in the future.

A quicker response to email enquiries is much appreciated. A more consistency in the application of the renting policy is also greatly appreciated. A lack of indoor entertainment I.e. television viewing option is a disadvantage to the elderly who is not tech savvy.

Only stayed for one night and it was pleasant. Room was spacious and clean. Wifi was not stable maybe because our room was far from the main router, TV also not okay, can’t really watch anything. Overall I would definitely stay again in the future

Budget hotel in a good location.

Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Rooms were basic but everything worked properly.

Breakfast was included and there was some western food on the menu.

Staff was very friendly however to property itself need refurbishment.. major refurbishment! Food during breakfast is good specially the lepeng nyior & roti canai.

Good for family room.bilik sgt besar..

Not so good, pool under maintenance, some lighting inside room problem, shower bathroom difficult to use for children.

The room is okay n the staff is friendly but the toilet so terrible, the water was very slow n the heater was not working. The toilet also cannot be locked

Easy go to the park...

1) Receptionist is rude. Even u said already booked (paid) but they keep on saying the hotel is full!
2) U ask to clean the room but until 6pm they didnt come to clean it.
3) toilet are so dirty and smelly.
4) 2nd day i cannot enter the room then only know they system are wrongly locked.
5) in website mentioned check in is 2.00pm but receptionist keep saying is 3pm. Ask u to wait and dont want to listen what customer said to them.
6) Swimming pool are dirty seem like didnt do any maintenance.

I do like the location of the hotel including their facilities.. I dont really like their breakfast menu... Tq

Could have been better if the Cleaner Team do the job accordingly especially the bathroom.

We were shocked to find that hotel.com made a error in their systems and did not book after we have paid in full for 2 rooms and 2 night at sri malaysia, taiping, Thus after 5 pm we were to move to some other noisy hotel 2 km away which did not have a breakfast package which we always were looking forward to ..but was then given a hotel.com voucher of rm200 for a breakfast compensation. Hotel.com written guarantee of booking online is not trust able. In my experience

Only 1 reception counter was opened for check in. Had to wait for 30 minutes. Hotels.com booking information differed from what offered by the Hotel. Information was not consistent. Toilet was dirty. Toilet seat below had fungus. Shower tiles still has fungus. Area around WC was leaking. Ants on sink. Housekeeping was not done for 2nd day. Facilities not maintained. Wifi not accessible in room even though this was stated as available
