Die Lage ist super. Gastfreundlichkeit ist durchaus ausbaufähig.
Pros:

Frühstück: Das frische Brot war hervorragend und die Möglichkeit, frischen Orangensaft zu pressen.
Bei Wurst und Käse waren es über die 5 Tage immer die gleichen 3 Sorten. Kein frisches Gemüse.
Frischer Obstsalat und Früchte waren ok.

Cons:

Begrüßung der Gäste am Morgen fand außer von einer sehr netten weiblichen Servicekraft nicht statt.
Die Damen an der Rezeption ignorierten die Gäste, außer, wenn sie direkt angesprochen wurden.

We had a great experience at the hotel, and in Ascona and the nearby region.
Pros:

Great view of the lake from 2nd floor room. Great location. Super breakfast. Quiet. Air conditioning. Close to bus stop, Coop, boat terminal. Relaxing stay, with opportunity for interesting nearby excursions.

Cons:

Instructions for how to get to off-site hotel parking were confusing. Parking spaces were very close together, though typical of Swiss parking lots in general. Weather in early July was generally very hot during the day.
