Location was good
There was hair in the tub, the bed was uncomfortable, the shower had so little pressure I wsanot able to wash my hair and what's with the flashing red light on the shower head? The shower curtain holders were made of twisted wire and many fell off...
There was no breakfast, only a room with a microwave and a coffee maker.
The proprietor advised us that even though the hotel was designated as pet friendly" he did not think it was and advised us that our small dog would be unsafe walking in the hotel corridor or outside, due to the roaming large dogs which he could not control and took no responsibility for. The room (#7) was extremely small. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The floor of the shower was cracked and unstable. The lobby was locked so that the only way we met the proprietor was by calling a phone number posted on the window. This is not a usual practice at a hotel.
Location to restaurants and train station. Large size of rooms. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The refrigerator worked well and kitchenette had all we needed.
Cracked tiles on bathroom floor. No window in sleeping area.
Staff was great. Beds were comfortable.
Road noise. Thin interior and exterior walls.
Great breakfast options. Easily accessible.
Breakfast was more than we thought it would be! Lots of options!
The toilet flapper did not close after flushing except by hand.
The hotel is very interesting and different kind of place to stay.
There is no ice machine. I didn't want to spend money for a 10# bag of ice when all I needed was a cup full. Also, please indicate if the room is on the second floor. I had a very hard time making it up the stairs.
Location was good.
Stairs were steep.
Location good for the Toltec & Cumbres steam train station. Very peasant owners once we could find him.
Bathroom really small but it was ok just for the 2 nights. Shower not clean in corners, and the floor of shower has duck tape over the cracks.! TV not suited to Dish TV - picture too big for TV (Settings)
Airconditioner in the window needs to be re-sealed, lots of wind coming through in the night. The breakfast room was totally inadequate, and the cereals plus lots of items needed to be restocked. Either offer breakfast and have stock or not at all. No water in the coffee machine, had to use the tap water from bedroom. Tiny sized coffee cups.
The staff was very nice. The room was very spacious. Nice history of this building.
Breakfast could have been better. There were no coffee cups, no napkins. There was very little offered that didn't include sugar and no decaf options whether it was tea or coffee. The first morning, the help apparently brought some breakfast type sandwiches, but they were not placed out for consumption until after 7:45 a.m. By then half of the guests were gone for the day. That didn't exist the morning we left either. We just grabbed coffee in the next town.
Small town vibe. All essentials nothing fancy. Felt at home
Nothing
This is not your steel and plastic holiday inn. It is a step back in time! It is clean, quaint, western inn. Paul, the owner, is a native Antonnian, is very nice, doing whatever he can to make tor stay enjoyable. A nice, small deck area is available. Paul will make a recommendation about restaurants. I would definitely stay there again!!
Plenty of breakfast choices. The staff were great.
There were two restaurants within a minute walk. A nice deck to sit on, a common area with a pool table. Lots of historic memorabilia. Close to the train station.
The proprietor was extremely pleasant - the hotel has lots of charm. The common refrigerator was stocked with refreshments for guests.
The outdoor metal steps to reach the rooms.
The host was very pleasant and nice but the building has seen better days. Electric outlet next to sink broken. Whoever painted the walls got most of the paint on the ceiling. Bad water stains on one ceiling, paint in other areas peeling. I stayed at numerous hotels on a cross country trip and paid more than half as much for much better conditions. I would not go there again.
