Excellent
Pros:

Thie place was great for the weekend on vacation, and for a couple. We did the SPA, Statehouse restaurant and Bar area. The Bed very comfortable and Breakfast was great, clean room very nice, very quiet absence of sound, noise or disturbance very peaceful stay at this hotel. If you go to this hotel, get a room overlooking water view , the most beautiful thing to see.

Fantastic Hotel!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Stay at The Edgewater Hotel

Everything about my stay at The Edgewater Hotel was absolutely excellent. From the moment I checked in to the time I checked out, the entire experience was seamless and welcoming.

The room was beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, making the whole stay stress-free.

A special shout-out to Augie’s Tavern — my steaks were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The bartenders delivered fantastic service and made the experience even better.

The shuttle service was also excellent — convenient, reliable, and a great added touch. And Craig at the front desk truly stood out with his exceptional service and professionalism.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend

Uncomfortable beds, room overlooking frat houses
Pros:

The bed was stiff and we barely slept. We would have loved to view the lake but instead our windows looked directly into a frat house window and we had to close the curtains the whole time.

Beautiful hotel!
Pros:

This hotel was great, in a lovely location & many amenities offered. I only gave 4 stars as we paid extra for a spa service that was not rendered, a bit disappointing especially when we splurge for self care once/year & it was a disappointing experience. Hotel is above & beyond standards otherwise!

Overpriced, Kind Staff
Pros:

Staff is very kind and professional and location is convenient and pretty (on the lake). Rooms are clean. Rates are high for what it is, comparable to other places in the area. There isn't a pool outside of the spa and spa prices are high for Madison, too. I booked erroneously under the wrong rate (totally my fault) but wasn't able to cancel as it was within 24-hours and they couldn't make any adjustments to figure out a half-way solution- so not super accomodating management.

Awesome Time
Pros:

Wanted to try something other then a chain Hotel. This place was awesome and excessed expebtations. Staff was friendly and helpful when asked questions about the Hotel and surrounding area.

Edgewater has gone downhill
Pros:

Room was dingy, drapes stained, food was marginal and service well below par. This used to be a great hotel, let's hope it becomes ont again.

We LOVE this hotel
Pros:

We stayed for a night (just to get away) with the kiddos. The experience was amazing. From the food at the Statehouse restaurant to the ice skating to the view and comfy room. We would recommend this place 1000x over!!!
