The Edgewater

Amazing place. No complaints. Can’t wait to come here again! Food was amazing, drinks were even better. Such a great place to come to relax and not even feel like you’re in a hotel. Felt like I was right at home.

We had a lovely stay at the Edgewater. My son was getting married there over the weekend and the wedding staff was extremely helpful and attentive and the food for the event was amazing!

If you’re looking for a fun little getaway, Madison is the perfect spot! We arrived Saturday afternoon and spent some time exploring downtown, which is easily walkable from The Edgewater—or, if you prefer, they offer a complimentary black car service. Saturday afternoon and evening were delightful (places recommended by the staff at Edgewater), and Sunday was pure relaxation with the amazing spa services. We spent the day lounging in the relaxation pool and ordering food in the relaxation room—it was heavenly! Highly recommend for a rejuvenating escape.

Overall an excellent experience was provided the Edgewater. Would most definitely stay here again. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Location and staff are excellent

They have the great old hotel manners that most of hotels nowadays don't have. Everything was impeccable. Thank you for treating us, like your guests.

Great location. It was close enough from the Madison Airport to get a ride by a ride app. Excellent service. Staffs were very attentive and had the old hotel manners that most hotels don't have anymore. Wel-lmaintain old, but very charming building and the room that we stayed in was clean and comfortable.

Super disappointed in this hotel. I was traveling with a large family (5 younger kids) that required adjoining rooms. I proactively called to ensure they had adjoining rooms and that I was booking the correct 2 rooms. Immediately after booking the rooms through my points, the staff member did a complete flip flop, stated she could not accommodate the adjoining room request. The booking was non-refundable so they refused to refund even as this was immediately discovered. I called back and spoke to the manager. He couldn’t do “anything”. Couldn’t cancel. Couldn’t accommodate adjoining rooms. Wouldn’t discount an upgrade. Cancelling trip and out all our $/points. EXTREMELY disappointed.

I actually have not stayed there yet, but I have a reservation for May.

Because I have difficulty standing, I need a shower chair or stool in order to take a shower.

They do not have ANY available.

The only thing they have is a handicap accessible room. Those are designed for people with wheelchairs, which I do not need. If one does not have a wheelchair, handicap accessible rooms are extremely inconvenient, because essentially taking a shower floods the entire bathroom.

I have stayed in hotels, all around the world, from small to large and from moderate to expensive. They almost always have a shower chair or stool.

For a hotel this relatively expensive, I consider this unacceptable.

I realize this specific issue is not relevant to most people, but I think it’s indicative of the quality of service.

We had a very quiet room overlooking the lake on the 11th floor. Will go back for our next anniversary.

The Edgewater is truly an oasis. We felt like we were on a vacation rather than just at a hotel for a stay. The accommodations were luxurious and the staff is extremely attentive.

Visiting from Seattle. Pure class. Quiet hotel. Top-notch staff. Close to the Overture Center for the Arts.

The edgewater hotel was A perfect location to stay when visiting the university of Wisconsin. It is a gem that has everything we needed for our short trip. Dreamy views, gym, delicious food and a super comfortable bed.

Valet Parking was not present and parking garage and two buildings were confusing

Thie place was great for the weekend on vacation, and for a couple. We did the SPA, Statehouse restaurant and Bar area. The Bed very comfortable and Breakfast was great, clean room very nice, very quiet absence of sound, noise or disturbance very peaceful stay at this hotel. If you go to this hotel, get a room overlooking water view , the most beautiful thing to see.

Everything about my stay at The Edgewater Hotel was absolutely excellent. From the moment I checked in to the time I checked out, the entire experience was seamless and welcoming.

The room was beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, making the whole stay stress-free.

A special shout-out to Augie’s Tavern — my steaks were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The bartenders delivered fantastic service and made the experience even better.

The shuttle service was also excellent — convenient, reliable, and a great added touch. And Craig at the front desk truly stood out with his exceptional service and professionalism.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend
