Villa San Michele is truly a special and unique venue, which embodies the epitome of Renaissance lifestyle and character. The hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning leaving you with a feeling that you are living in the renaissance era while having all modern amenities. The venue is located in the countryside perched atop the rolling Tuscan hills with an incredible view of Florence and the famous Coppola. The hotel and gardens are impeccably maintained leaving guests with a relaxing, calming retreat style feeling. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is second to none. A remarkable property that is unparalleled. The rooms are beautiful and clean and, as is standard for a belmond, apportioned with all the amenities you could ever dream of.

We will definitely be returning for future visits/vacations.

Thank you Belmond for, once again, exceeding our expectations.

We had the most amazing stay at this hotel. My husband and I arrived and the concierge Adriana. I think. She set us up with a wine tasting and pizza cooking class that was perfect for us. Small Italian owned and gave you a real feel for the countryside. She also showed us a hiking path from the hotel. Above and beyond service. We stayed in some fancy hotels and this stay was BY FAR our favorite ❤️ thank you.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Two separate sinks and Toilette had it's own room. Breakfast had it all and staff was very attentive. Concierge assisted us with all our transfers and every other need. Wish We had booked a longer stay. Planning on going back some day.

Disappointing service
Pros:

Somewhat disappointed unfortunately. A lot of things simply could have been better. Particularly service. On Thursday 17th September the service was extremely poor. By the evening of Saturday 19th things were improving. Just not the standard expected. Not enough staff. Staff clearly very over worked. Lack of management evident. Puts us off Belmond. We picked this property over the Four Seasons and in hindsight would not have done so. Go here for dinner and the view.

The most beautiful views. The food was amazing g and the rooms were fantastic. Excellent service from the staff. They shuttle you into Florence so you can see for Florence without being in the hustle and bustle.

The location over looking Florence is beautiful. The room we had was extremely comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been appreciated but, room service was very prompt. The staff are very helpful and friendly, we were looked after extremely well - nothing is too much trouble. My husband is a coeliac and his dietary requirements were handled very well. The shuttle bus into Florence is a great service and we used this most days without any problems. The hotel and grounds are beautiful,t his is a wonderful place to stay.
