Perfectly placed for access to Stansted, regular buses to and from Stansted, Chelmsford and Colchester from right outside. Very friendly and accommodating staff, room was clean and comfy, nothing to criticize!
Beds and pillows little hard but thats only a personal issue
Lovely renovated old building. I stayed in the courtyard block which appears quite new and the room was large with a good bathroom. The staff couldn’t do enough for you - shout out for Stacey who was the most delightful person ever. So lovely to get such a personal welcome and stay. I will certainly go back and would recommend to anyone.

Good location for Stansted and very good value. Bed comfortable and bathroom well equipped.
The staff is absolutely lovely and helpful. Place is very central so you can wander around the town centre. We travelled by car so we could go and visit other places which were at perfect distance from the hotel. Easter lunch was really nice and we had a good time.
All the rooms face the back of the hotel, where the outside area of the bar is, therefore customers would sit to have their drinks and a chat. This is totally fine and understandable however I'd suggest to advise customers to be mindful of people staying overnight as they might not want to be disturbed if it gets louder. We had this issue the first night and couldn't sleep until past midnight. We spoke to the staff about it and they have been very kind and understandable and when we asked if there was a quieter room they managed to move us in a room that was further away from the bar area, which helped a lot.

breakfast was very good, room was OK and dinner was not as good as I had hoped!
my fried fish did not look, or taste, fresh. It looked/tasted to have been frozen! The door to my room didn't fit - air gaps!
