Pros:

The staff were all absolutely lovely xxx Top marks!

Cons:

Bed was worn out and uncomfortable, the room furniture was shabby and some of it broken, the carpet was stained. Evidence of thorough cleaning, but black mould still evident in shower.

Relaxing Stay at Hellaby Hall.
Pros:

Stayed a few times now and always comfortable, clean and warm. Good location for arrival from M18 and for visiting local area.
Gym and swimming pool available for guests!

Comfy beds, nice food, GREAT SHOWER, unhelpful staff, misinformation passed

Nice grounds, good location, comfy beds.

Cons:

Rang on friday to see what the situation would be as we were travelling up from Shrewsbury but would be there either before check in time, or after the latest check in time, so what were our options. The lady on the phone said we can come to the hotel and get the room key early, and as long as we dont go in the room then thats fine. We made a 30 minute detour to go there and get the key, when we got there, the man on the desk was very unhelpful, told us we arent allowed to do that as the keys get wiped after check out apparently and he doesnt know who would have said that to me, i said she had an accent of not english (poss Irish maybe). There was a lady sat on reception very quiet during all this, then I heard her speak and that was the accent I remember from the phone.
So it ended up being a wasted journey up and a 30 minute detour for nothing, if some staff think you can do this and some think you cant, that alone requires staff training so everyone is singing off the same hym sheet.
Also was very noisy, a wedding on and there were a few people from the wedding in the reception when we got there about 1am, shouting and swearing, this carried on into the corridors and the bedroom next to ours. I would have expected the reception staff to be asking them to keep quiet during the late hours, but nothing was said.

Great place and will return if in the area for business
Pros:

Nice property. In the heat a difficult night to sleep. Food excellent and on the whole staff very good
