Clean and comfortable - beautiful building and gardens .
A nice looking hotel. Seems to be well used for proms and weddings. Nice large car park with EV charging. We unfortunately stayed during a very hot period of weather. Rooms 28 & 30 were incredibly hot, made sleep horrendous. No aircon it seems at this hotel. They need to add this its not good enough for an apparent 4 star hotel. We also felt rooms felt a little tired and a bit dirty, cobwebs and dust etc. nice swimming pool and shower facilities, hot tub sauna steam room. Pool about 1.2 meter depth all the way. Would we stay again? Possibly with aircon added though!
Came with a large group of colleagues, check in was very slow, no prep for such a large group who would be arriving together and only one member of staff to check us all in.
Dinner was marred by exceptionally long waiting time, due to lack of staff, other diners left, everyone was complaining, staff were rude at times.
Not worth it, go elsewhere.
Handy to visit relatives
The corridors were a maze trying to find reception and bar very poor direction signs. Woken up by very loud loudspeaker playing music delivering food to near by industrial site we were in room 69
Beautiful old hall, surrounding gardens well maintained. Staff friendly.
Beautiful setting & facilities
All Staff excellent at their job- so friendly, smiley & attentive
Lovely breakfast
Loved pool
Only thing that could’ve made it better was if their was air conditioning in room.
It probably wouldn’t have mattered normally but it was a very hot day so felt it! There was a fan provided in room which helped though
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and just what we needed while visiting family.
Nothing
Excellent value, friendly, helpful staff
The swimming pool & facilities were excellent, the staff were all really friendly & helpful
Our room was on top floor in eves, with sloping ceiling, making it quite cramped to get round bed, I'm 5'11 & hot my head alot!! The curse of being tall
Surroundings were excellent, with lots of local facilities within walking distance, bed was very comfortable,
Tried to book 1 room for 2, however cost more because the booking was 1 room for 1, had to book 2 rooms, bath was extremely shallow making it hard to get out, banged my head several times due to room situated within the loft space.
Breakfast was kept warm, could have been more appetising
