Pros:

The coffee shop was great and the restaurant staff were friendly.

Cons:

No bath mat / bathroom mat for when we get out of the shower; when asked for one we were told we don’t have those.
Hot water lasted for one shower only.
Shower looks grubby and not maintained.
No shower curtain.
No lamp shades on bedside lamps
Lighting in bathroom terrible.
No mirror in bedroom.
Could hear neighbours as if they were in our room with us.
No electric blankets.
Bath towels smelt like cigarette smoke.
No small bin for refuse.
Unit needs attention overall.

Loved my stay. Highly recommend for couples and families. We did so many fun activities. Just wish there was a TV.

Lovely Karoo overnight stay
Pros:

Old-worldly historic Karoo farm village with beautiful old buildings. The farm.atmosphere was very welcoming. Great location close to Aquilla, only 15 min drive. I enjoyed the quiet Karoo, birdsong, and fresh air in a setting that is peaceful and safe. STAFF was very helpful and friendly as well. The restaurant and bar area has an out of Africa experience with good food and country ambiance.
Families with children are catered for with outdoor entertaining areas and outdoor movie and a games area. Enjoyed the short stay, and will stay again.

Breakfast was not free.
Location was ok.

Cons:

Manger (Miranda?) was rude and tried to dupe us into a much +cheaper room, which was unacceptable (failing curtains, heating not functioning properly, not very clean, etc.). Only after insisting to get our requested (and already checked in!) room, she finally gave us the key.

Un lieu plein de charme, apaisant et vivant, où l’on se sent immédiatement bien

Un véritable coup de cœur pour ce lieu plein de charme, au cœur d’un cadre naturel magnifique et apaisant. L’atmosphère est authentique et dépaysante, on s’y sent immédiatement bien. Gros plus pour les animaux présents (chiens, chats, paons) qui apportent une touche de vie et de douceur absolument adorable. Le personnel est chaleureux et attentionné, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable.

Highly recommend with a mountain view room
Pros:

Beautiful setting in the foothills with a "natural" pond to swim in.

Room was good = spacious and comfortable. A little dark.

Wished we'd booked a mountain view room in stead of courtyard one = more light.

Staff was excellent and our evening meal was really good.

A great place to stay with the family with good access to Aquila Safari.
Pros:

A beautifully presented, authentic and interesting village. Rooms were perfect and management were very helpful and accommodating when we realised one of our rooms had been incorrectly booked.

Cons:

That we didn’t book to stay longer.
