I really regret staying at SAAD Hotel. From start to finish, it was a frustrating, disappointing experience—and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Customer service is absolutely terrible. The front desk and concierge staff are completely indifferent. They don’t greet you, don’t help you, and clearly don’t care. They’re just there to collect a paycheck, and it shows.

Breakfast is awful. The kasha (normally a staple in hotels) was thin, runny, and looked unappetizing. No variety. The coffee was even worse—basically sweetened water with barely any coffee flavor.

While my room had a great view, it wasn’t cleaned at all on my last day. No explanation, no one seemed to care.

Elevators are a disaster. Only two for the whole hotel, and they are extremely slow. If you’re on a high floor, good luck getting anywhere without a long wait.

I asked the concierge for help with ballet tickets—he acted like I was bothering him. Eventually, after I insisted, he booked them on his personal phone and told me to take a photo of the QR code. I paid him, and then he claimed not to have change. Completely unprofessional.

Even when you do get service here, it’s reluctant and unhelpful.

The entire hotel feels depressing and poorly managed. It could be something with a serious management overhaul and renovation, but as it stands—it’s a cold, joyless place to stay.

Avoid this hotel. There are far better options in Astana.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful at check in. Room was spacious and everything was as expected. QR codes were on desk to allow you to order room service or fill the minibar.

Rooms are well soundproofed and have lovely views of the Lovers Park, Khan Shatyr and central Astana.

Breakfast was usual buffet style with a mix of hot and cold options, pastries and fruit and veg available.

Overall we would happily stay here again.

Great facility, however not providing washing powder nor liquid for the washing machine in the room, hence a star missing feom me.

Great hotel to stay! The location is very convenient. The room was very spacious and clean.

I was there on business, and I got exactly what I wanted for a short stay: a quiet room with a workplace. However, the internet connection was very unstable, I was not able to speak (not to mention video). Eventually, I had to use mobile internet. There is a mini-gym, which I used a few times. I did not have time to try the sauna and the small swimming pool, they looked good. Particularly I liked the breakfast, good selection of local and international food.

Excellent receptionists. Breakfast restaurant crew could not keep up with the clientele. Great views, good location.

The room service and reception was very good. But the best is the hosting and service at the roof restaurant. Thanks the host lady especially for her kindness.

Former Marriott, good quality city hotel. Spacious quiet rooms, all necessary services. Great value for money.
