Fondavela Hotel

Sparkling clean with great pool area.
Hard to travel to and from if you don’t have a car. Limited dining options and expensive dinner menu.
Other than the pool, not much else to do.

The property was clean, safe and quiet.

My family and I had a great stay here. The hotel room was clean, beds were comfortable, property was beautiful and the included breakfast was delicious. The best part was how friendly everyone was from the check in desk to the restaurant staff. Will definitely stay here again

Honestly, this hotel should be rated much higher. It felt luxe and private. Employees remembered us by name, always friendly, warm, and attentive. The pool was exceptional- heated to a perfect temp and so big that it always felt as if we had the whole pool to ourselves.

From start to finish an absolute delight to stay here! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff are all so kind and helpful, food was good. Loved it! Had a massage too! Highly recommend it’s a great place to stay.

Deivin from the restaurant and Melanie from the front desk are superstars! Fondavela staff was very friendly and welcoming. Felt like home.

This property is well maintained and staff are great. It is a little far from town and the road was not the best. The room did not have air conditioning or a dehumidifier so it was not as comfortable as it could have been. Did not use the pool but it looked nice. Breakfast was great and the service staff were friendly and accommodating.

The property is nice, kept neat and clean. We were there in the off season so it was very quiet. Remember there is no ac in this area of Costa Rica. They do not offer cots in the rooms so if you are traveling as a family this could be an issue. Otherwise the breakfast was wonderful, the jacuzi was covered so you can use even in the rain.

We enjoyed great service at this beautiful property. The food at the hotel was nice and the staff was helpful in booking tours and excursions in the area.

I plan to stay at this hotel again when I make it back to Monteverde.

It’s a lovely property, beautiful gardens, excellent food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved the pool and hot tub, and enjoyed the nature walk on the property. Wonderful trip!

If you want nature & tranqulity, this is a GREAT option. You see monkeys, various birds, and lizards around the property grounds. Only a 20 minute walk to Cari Canca bird reservation. Only complaint is they play loud music by the pool area which disrupts the peaceful environment. Lodging is large with high quality bathroom. Staff is kind & profession.

it will be nicer if the room have trials to the pool and a couple extra more outlets, but it was marvelous

Beautiful spot, very clean and roomy, fantastic breakfast. I wonky wish we could have stayed longer!

Spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, more than adequate buffet breakfast, excellent staff.

The food is substandard, the buffet is terrible taste-wise, and the spread is very small, given the hotel's small size.

Cleanliness is decent inside but not outside of the room.

Its overpriced for the value you get for the stay

Beautiful location, roads leading to the property is not in great shape but the rooms sure deliver. Food options were limited for vegetarians but they do have options
