Disappointing stay in Hoi An
Pros:

The staff was very nice, understanding and helpful

Cons:

The pictures shown on Booking.com are over 10 years old and do not reflect the current state of the property (especially the garden and pool area), which was heavily impacted by the recent floods.
The room was ok but not super clean (dust on the floor, clogged shower) and looked quite old compared to the pictures. The gap between our expectations and the reality was huge, leading us to shorten our stay in the hotel. However, the staff was great and facilitated the shortening of our stay.

Cons:

Couple of small things only
Had a gym but was pretty dirty and rusty equipment. Either get rid of it or update it
Breakfast was a nice thought but food wasn't that nice. Too many nice (and cheap)options on the street to compete so just ate breakfast from street vendors

Basic hotel for a short stay
Pros:

Quiet location, close to the old town. The staff was very polite. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

There was a bad musty smell in the room, only one bath towel,very basic breakfast.

We loved it so much we stayed 3 extra days
Pros:

Great pool, the staff were amazing and so friendly. Our favorite place we have stayed in Vietnam so far! It is a little run down but they more than make up for it with their excellent service.

Cons:

The shower didn’t drain properly but otherwise our stay was excellent

Pros:

Location to main town 10mins walk about. Pool was nice and towels provided. Staff were friendly and could not do enough to help! Hired bikes, they arranged, provided towels for beach use. Helped make a phonecall for me and translated.

Cons:

Decor a little tired.

Fijn verblijf voor mooie prijs.
Pros:

Fijn hotel met zwembad. Wij hadden kamer 301 familie kamer. Zeer ruim. Ac werkt goed.

Die Lage ist fußläufig zur Altstadt zu erreichen und das Personal war toll, freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Im Zimmer war an mehreren Wänden Schimmel, der vermutlich schon mehrfach überstrichen wurde. Es roch entsprechend muffig/modrig. Schon vor dem Hotel lag Müll rum und das ganze Grundstück war nicht schön, nicht gepflegt. Wir werden es ganz sicher nicht mehr buchen.
Uns ist schleierhaft, wie die Bewertungen zustande kommen.
