A comfortable cosy country style inn. Reasonable value considering the substantial breakfast

Traditional character, great full breakfast choices included.

The room had a fan provided which was a bonus as it was one of the hottest days

Cons:

My breakfast i asked for nushrooms and tomatoes and only got 1 tomato and not even a whole mushroom , i know it was included in the room price but that was a bit ridiclous

Very pleasant over night stay, enjoyed the pub atmosphere, room was clean and well presented.
Pros:

The room and ensuite were clean and comfortable, facilities in the room were good. The staff were very helpful and polite.
Breakfast was good, choice of cereals, cold meats, fruit, etc, cooked breakfast was nicely cooked with locally sourced produce. The Globe is a pub with character and was very busy for a Wednesday evening which was good to see.

Cons:

There were no sockets suitable to take telephone cables and had to borrow an adaptor form the manager. Our evening meal was slightly over cooked. Batter on the fish was crispy and difficult to cut through and the cheese layer on the lasagne was also a little to hard. There was nothing wrong with the flavour and taste of our meals.

Liked the room. Loved the breakfast.
Have stayed many times at the Globe.

Cons:

Will never stay again on Charter Day. We were warned but were not told the band would be actually in the hotel and right under our rooms and that the packed bar would be open till midnight. The band was so ridiculously unbearably loud and we're musicians ourselves! So didn't get much sleep on last night and were tired for our long drive home in the morning.
