Charming, comfortable place to stay near Gare Central and a short walk to the Grande Place.
Cons:

Only the mounting for the hand-held shower was unstable -- it should have been tighter. Possibly additional electrical outlets would have been useful but these are minor quibbles. It's charmingly furnished, quiet and comfortable. We would like to return for a longer stay next time.

The hotel and room was the perfect quiet haven for a solo traveler who ran hard all day and needed a cozy place to rest
Pros:

The location was perfectly situated near the Brussels Central station, walking distance to nearly everything and making it so simple to get to and from the airport and for day trips to nearby towns like Mechelen, Antwerp, and Ghent. The room was very quiet given the vibrancy of the neighborhood. Hotel staff, from breakfast server to front desk to housekeeping were courteous, professional, and warm. Breakfast was delightful. The hotel history made it an extra special place to stay.

Cons:

I would have to think hard about anything I didn’t like. The only inconvenience I encountered would be the staircase in the suite which was narrow and tight. I was fine and managed without effort but I imagine it would be hard on someone with mobility issues given the bedroom and bath were both upstairs. I only slipped once.
