Very convenient location to Colonial Williamsburg
A bit older so they had some air condition problems but thankfully the room’s air was working.
The hotel was super convenient for visiting Colonial Williamsburg and it was nice to have the pool and other activities such as putt putt for the kids.
The beds were not very comfortable and breakfast was limited to mostly carbs and hard boiled eggs. It is definitely continental, but that is what it communicated so we knew going in. We would have liked to use the restaurant the night we were there to avoid having to go out after a long day at Colonial Williamsburg, and according to the hours listed on the door, it should have been open, but it was closed so that was disappointing.
Beautiful and excellent customer service
It’s so close to everything and the atmosphere is awesome
I didn't attend because others from my party said there was a huge line, limited selection and only one toaster that didn't really work.
The staff was friendly (especially the front desk staff) who were most helpful and above any expectations. The room was clean and comfortable. We had no bad experiences here!
btreakfast was the worst.
NO lunch or dinner options
We were there as part of a family reunion - everyone was staying there. The hotel is old and needs refurbishment. The furniture appears to be from the 60's. The mattress needed to be replaced. The AC in the lobby and other areas wasn't working. The ice machines on several floors weren't working. There is only one elevator in the wing we stayed in. Our room was about 300 yards from the elevator and 500 yards from the lobby. The continental breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Would I go back? Not for what you get for what they charge.
Location was excellent. Housekeeping staff were wonderful. Front desk people not so much.
No one told us that huge dryingi was expecting a suite with two beds. I got a room with one bed and an smaller area with a couch machines would be operating in the lobby
No one told us that the breakfast room had been moved and was much less accessible.
There was no way for a person with limited vision to safely and efficiently navigate.
Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean. The Woodlands is our favorite place to stay in CW!
The location is within Colonial Williamsburg and is accessible to nearby attractions like Jamestown Settlement. The property was clean and well-maintained (we loved the greenery), and the staff was polite and helpful. I recommend this hotel!
The hotel receptionist stated that Booking hadn't paid the hotel before our arrival even though I already paid for my reservation more than a month prior to our stay. This issue delayed our check-in, but it was eventually resolved.
The setting was nice. The hotel was very clean. The location was perfect. It felt very safe.
It seemed like only one elevator out of 2 was working. The one that was working seemed very old and unsafe.
The entire place needs updating. The pull out couch was absolutely uncomfortable. If they updated this hotel with smart tv, comfier beds, etc, it would be great.
Breakfast wasn’t great. The toasters didn’t work. Breakfast bars were stale. Most of the food was low It seemed like only one elevator out of 2 was working. The one that was working seemed very old and unsafe.
The entire place needs updating. The pull out couch was absolutely uncomfortable.
There was no ice on the floor
Great location, near the visitor center, good for families. Room was clean and staff was friendly. The kids loved the pool area.
The environment and all the nice folks
The additional 130 to the 800 (already paid) I had to pay for incidentals.
The kitchenette wasn't an actual kitchenette
Everything
Nothing!!
There’s so much more than just the hotel itself. There’s so many little tiny amenities that make it like a mini vacation. Of course they have the pool. They also have a shuttle to get you around Williamsburg. They have mini golf cornhole ping-pong. They’re continental breakfast was better than other continental breakfasts I’ve had and they were very accommodating.
