What a treasure to stay at Villa Beach Cottage! The staff was so welcoming - evidence of a family owned business that gives the personal touch. The cottage was very well equipped and clean. They thought of everything including US power ports. Having a restaurant on site was so nice and food was great! We enjoyed our time celebrating our anniversary.
From the moment you arrive you are treated like family. Okay so maybe that's not entirely accurate, because you are looked after even before you arrive with transportation options, starter packages for your villa, concierge follow up, etc. Everyone is super friendly and attentive, never forgetting a name or preference. The onsite restaurant is fabulous for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Chef is truly amazing. The ladies in the office set everything up for you, from tours, to dinners, to transportation. Have them make the any resv. for you and you will get the best tables and service. Can't thank Colin enough for running this 5 star paradise, and all the employees who work hard everyday to keep it clean, beautiful and maliciously maintained. Already booked our week for next January on our way out.
This is a wonderful place. I traveled alone and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had a great trip. They planned special excursions for me so I could have the experiences I wanted. From the moment I arrived, everyone was so attentive and kind. The beach is lovely - it's right down the beach from a major resort chain but so much more authentic and a great value! Highly recommend.
A beautiful and scenic stay. The villas were amazing. Our Balcony was a stone throw from the ocean. We slept to the sound of the ocean, we enjoyed our morning coffee and our evening wine on the balcony, watching the cruise ships come into the port and then leave at sunset. The views were stunning.
The accommodations were excellent. All the rooms in our villa were spacious; including the kitchen, balcony, bedroom and bathroom. All the amenities needed were there. The location was peaceful (other than the tree frogs and waves). The beach and the ocean was also top notch. We have stayed in many tropical places, but have never spent as much time in the ocean as we did here. It was gentle sloped fine sand, and waves were rarely big enough to intimidate.
The owner, Colin and his staff were all exceptional, helpful and did everything to make everyone’s stay excellent. We felt pampered. They took care of excursions, taxi’s, trips to the grocery store. They had a small store on sight if you needed a bottle of wine or a cooking ingredient. The food at the small beach front restaurant on sight was also excellent; if it was not on the menu, just ask.
The only negative thing was the Villa is located a few kms from either Rodney Bay or Castries, and walking was not available. Sidewalks were not available and the speed and volume of traffic was a bit scary for roadside walking. However A local bus service which looked like a 12 passenger van was a short walk away If our stay was longer we would have figured out how it worked.
Recommendations for the villa would include; a few minor updates for the bathroom, a more modern shower and more counter space. Also an organized shuttle / ride share with other guest for getting to/from town, to avoid $50USD cab ride would go along way.
We loved our stay and we plan to return!!!
This is a family run business that really looks after their guests.
We stayed for 7 nights to allow us to explore the northern part of St Lucia’s west coast and were so pleased to have discovered and chosen Villa Beach.
The welcome from staff was warm and genuine. We were greeted by name in reception every day and any request we made was responded to so helpfully.
The proprietor Colin provided us with personal recommendations for restaurants and days out and we were fortunate enough to discover Mr Synesius Bisette on our second day. Mr Bisette is a local taxi driver who does lots of journeys for guests at Villa Beach and he made our trip extra special, advising us on timings for our trips and always being available to get us to our destination safely and on time. Mr Bisette is also very knowledgeable about the island and gave us some fascinating insights into the places we visited. If you stay at Villa Beach Cottages and need a driver then ask for ‘Bisette’, you wont regret it!
Accommodation and general service at Villa Beach is great. Our room (room 1) was lovely and food at the on-site cafe/ restaurant was good. We recommend the chicken roti!
Villa Beach Cottages is a perfect location from which to explore Castries, Rodney Bay and the surrounding areas. We were sorry to leave at the end of our stay, but grateful to all staff who looked after us so well.
We chose the Villa Beach Cottages in lieu of a bigger resort. It was a SUPER choice. The room was clean and beautiful, right off the pool and the beach. There was on site restaurant that had equally delicious meals to others. The staff were AWESOME. Very friendly and helpful- we never had to worry about anything. Our get away vacation was much needed and this place was the perfect place.
This is a truly amazing place. It is right on one of the best beaches on the island. The staff is wonderful. Lots of helpful security personnel around at all times. We went with another couple and stayed in a 2b/2b unit. Bedrooms are separated by living area so there is good privacy. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, etc. We are already planning a return trip.
This is one of the best Accomodations we have ever stayed. The staff are so friendly! The beds are hands down the most comfortable in the Carribean. Coconuts restraint is delicious. The rooms are right of Choc Beach which is perfect for kids jumping waves and learning to body surf. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to St Lucia.
We stayed at Villa Beach Cottages five times and already booked our sixth stay for the 2026/2027 season. The reason is simple - you pay 3-start resort prices for the 5-star service and location.
The island of Santa Lucia is volcanic and very mountainous, with a lot of steep hills and high, sharp, vertical banks. It does not have a lot of good sandy beaches. The Choko Bay is an exception, and Villa Beach Cottages has a nice piece of sandy beach. The resort is located in the Choko Bay, about 20 minutes drive from Castries - the capital of the island. The bay is known for being quiet, less crowded, and offering great sunset views. For us the most important feature of the resort was its closeness to the ocean. While other resorts have to use buses to bring people to the ocean, if you stay at Villa Beach Cottages you need to walk not more than 10 - 15 feet to get into the water.
For swimming lovers Choko Bay is like a paradise - you can swim hours in one direction without encountering undercurrent or big waves. It is rather shallow - about 10–15 feet deep, it does not have any jelly fish or other nasty ocean creatures. The sun on Santa Lucia is quite soft comparing with other Caribbean islands like Aruba or Curaçao. The water is soft as well and does not require fresh water shower after the swimming in the ocean.
The two-stories cottages are very convenient, the units are well-equipped with AC and all cooking amenities, microwave and refrigerator, so you could save a lot of money by cooking yourself. In 10 minutes you can walk to the next supermarket to get all you need for cooking a decent meal. Units have large terraces where you can sit and watch a beautiful sunset and the cruise ships that leaving the island.
The personnel is very friendly and helpful, all problems are solved almost immediately. For example, the burned light bulb in the refrigerator was replaced in 10 minutes. The cottages surrounded by meticulously kept tropical flowers and kept in immaculate condition - everything is freshly painted and clean.
However, you have to reserve it well in advance. Last year we did it in April for the
December/January high season and could not get our usual room. It is quite competitive place, so do not put off your reservation!
We had a lovely stay at Villa Beach Cottages during our holiday in Saint Lucia. The property is beautifully located right on the beach, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that made our trip truly special.
The cottages were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We especially appreciated the quiet beachfront setting and the easy access to the beach—it was perfect for unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty of the island.
The hosts were welcoming and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we would happily recommend Villa Beach Cottages to anyone looking for a calm, charming place to stay in Saint Lucia.
We would definitely consider staying here again.
My family and I have stayed at Villa Beach three times and we intend a fourth visit. This wonderful boutique hotel with it's warm and friendly team feel more like family. You are greeted with a smile and a hug that melts the months between visits. Nothing is too much for them and they are wonderfully helpful. In fact, it doesn't feel like a hotel but instead it feels like staying with your best friends.
The rooms are large and very, very comfortable - It feels like your own slice of happiness. They are very tidy and the grounds are immaculate. In the evening you can sit on the balcony and watch a magnificent sunset and when the sun begins to go down, you can watch the cruise ships, lit up in their glory sail into the sunset.
The restaurant and bar overlook the sea and the food is delicious. It is good, decent home cooked St. Lucian food that will satisfy the soul. But if you want to cook yourself, the rooms come with a kitchen and the property comes with it's own shop (Very useful when you run out of beer).
The pool is nice and quiet where you can work on your tan and then take a dip to cool off. The pool isn't deep and it's great to cool off in. As for the beach - It's the kind of beach that you imagine Ursula Andress ("Dr.No.") coming out of and shaking her hair. The beach is immediately accessible and it's fun to ride the waves into shore. It's a beautiful bay without the normal tourist hustle and bustle.
Villa Beach truly is a jewel in the crown of St, Lucia. It is also such good value for money - you get 5 star service for 3 star prices! I'm 53 and I've travelled extensively in my life and in my opinion Villa Beach is the best place I have ever stayed.
Our family of 6 stayed at Villa Beach Cottages for the second week of our holiday (first part at La Dauphine Estate). We absolutely loved it, Colin and the team were fantastic and were always so helpful. The rooms are spacious, beds super comfortable and the views from pretty much everywhere on the property are beautiful! It's also a great location from which to explore all the main attractions in the North of the island.
The team clearly work hard to keep everything immaculate and a special shout out to the chefs in the kitchen. We ate at some great restaurants in St Lucia but I would say the food at the restaurant is right up there, so full of flavour!
You are literally a few metres from the sea here, a perfect spot to relax with a Piton Beer or Rum Punch whilst the kids played in the waves :) Don't think I have ever taken so many pictures of sunsets but it's hard not to, you have to see it to believe it.
Hope I am lucky enough to return one day!
We stayed (as a family) at Villa Beach Cottages over the Christmas holiday 2025. We very much enjoyed our stay there. We got the 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa. It was roomy and well equipped. Large bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, and dining area. It also had a nice patio (facing the water) which was quite enjoyable to have breakfast/coffee/read.
It has a restaurant on site (serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner), plenty of beach chairs, and a beautiful beach directly off the hotel. There is also a nice walking beach right next to the property.
What truly makes the hotel speical is the staff and owner. The staff is amazing. They are so kind and make you feel so welcome. I noticed a lot of people seemed to be returning customers and I see why. Kenisa (and the rest of the front desk staff ) can help you with anything you need. They helped us immensely with organizing tours, making dinner reservations, and securing taxis for us. We did not rent a car on the island so their guidance and help was greatly appreciated. Colin, the owner has many great recommendations on what to do on and where to eat on the island. They will also purchase food for you and have it waiting at your room when you arrive.
Two of their regular taxi drivers (Claudius Amedee and Synesius Bicette) were both great. Really enjoyed both of them. Claudius took us on the longer tours and was so knowledgeable about the island.
The property had a small, family vibe to it and we really enjoyed our stay there!
This is truly a family owned and run boutique property. All the staff are employed directly (No outsourcing) and you can really tell they all work together and care about the wellbeing of their guests. We met the owner (Colin) on our second day and he told us the history of the property and the island in general, in addition to a lot of great recommendations or things to do, see and eat on the island.
We were in Villa #8 which is one of the older properties, but we would absolutely recommend. The villa was packed with everything you need (Kitchenette with an oven, large fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and every utensil you could need.
The restaurant is very small but the food and cocktails were superb! There are a few local grocery stores that sell everything you need. As Brits no living in the US, we were impressed to see a great selection of American and British products. The stores are not tourist focused and packed with locals so no 'tourist trap' prices.
The property is right on the water and includes your own little private balcony. The have a small dipping pool and then a larger pool with enough loungers for everybody.
They also supply both villa towels and beach towels that they allow you take off the property for beach days and even have sea kayaks you can use for free to go and explore Rat island (Don't worry, there is no rats. Colin will explain why its called that).
In addition to the onsite restaurant and bar, they have a small store to buy essentials, a laundry room (for a fee) and even a little library with books and games you can borrow for free. They also have 24hr security at the entrance.
Our room was spotless and housekeeping will come in everyday (Unless you ask them not to). On our last couple of days, we could hear the kids in the villa above us stomping around, but it wasn't bad enough to ruin our stay. I would definitely recommend putting kids on the ground floor though in future.
Overall, this beats the hell out of the larger commercial resorts. You get such an amazing personal experience. Whenever we went to reception or walked past some of the staff, they referred to us by our names and everybody was always happy to answer any questions we had and offer advice.
In regards to St.Lucia in general, personally, we preferred the northern location. We took a day trip to the Soufriere area (Through the property, guided by one of their security team in a very nice vehicle) and although we had a great time, the southern region is much more touristy. We were happy to be back at the Villa beach cottages at the end of the day.
We LOVED staying in this locally owned location as it has much more character and tons more personal interactions than the large 'resort' adjacent (Sandals) appeared to offer (we did tour that facility and while it looks nice, it appeared very 'sanitized' from the character of the island in comparison). Villa Beach Cottages offered much more insight to the beautiful St. Lucian locals as the staff there is very family-oriented and clearly close, which extends graciously to the guests. They gave us the low-down on all the best places not to miss, including local planned events. We loved everyone there and had an unforgettable St Lucia first-time experience!
Villa Beach Cottages in St. Lucia was an absolute dream stay for our family, even while travelling with a toddler! The ocean view room was great—waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the waves and watching the sunset from the property was unforgettable. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the island. The rooms were spotless, well maintained, and very comfortable, making us feel right at home. What truly stood out was the excellent staff: warm, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. We truly enjoyed our stay!
We had a great vacation! Very large room, clean and right in front of the beach. Staff is very friendly and Colin is a great host. We also visited their estate in the south of the island were they produce chocolate and farm delicious local fruit. We had such a good time that we extended one more night. Highly recommended.
My husband and I visited beautiful St Lucia for the first time last month to celebrate my 70th birthday. We spent the first eight nights of our trip at VBC, and it was truly everything we had hoped for and more. We were looking for a small, quiet, Lucian owned and operated alternative to the many big all inclusive resorts on the island. What a gem we found!
Our accommodation, a standard King with sea view, was very clean and comfortable, and just steps from both the pool deck and the beach where we were often alone to enjoy a glass of wine and a romantic sunset. Restaurants and taxis are quite pricey, we found, so we enjoyed many of our meals on our private patio listening to the waves crash on the beach.
The kitchen space in our unit was adequately equipped for preparing breakfasts, sandwiches, and light suppers. (Admittedly, I was a bit wary of using a gas stove and oven, so we kept it simple.) There’s a good take out sushi and stir fry place within walking distance, and supermarkets a short bus or taxi ride away. We enjoyed two of our dinners with our feet in the sand, a stone’s throw from the water, at their little open air restaurant, Coconut. (Adela’s pumpkin soup was definitely a highlight!)
What impressed us even more than the peaceful beach front location, was the warmth and generosity of both management and staff. Front office, kitchen, housekeeping, drivers, everyone went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. One day we came back from visiting Rodney Bay to find balloons, bubbly and birthday cake in our bedroom! At Villa Beach, we were made to feel like part of the family, and we really enjoyed getting to know such a lovely group of people. We hope to return some day soon…
This was our 3rd stay at VBC and it was AWESOME! This is a family owned and operated property and they make you feel like you are part of the family. The staff are excellent and so is the property. The beach is beautiful and so are the rooms. You are within easy access to everything you want to do in Saint Lucia. There are also plenty of stores and restaurants close by. We have so much fun staying here and can't wait to go back.
The staff treated us like family. My husband left his wedding band in the shower. The staff mailed it back by FedEx! Love Villa
