what a beautiful place to stay, staff lovely and friendly, everywhere was spotless. The breakfast and spa were amazing. We loved it that much we tired to extend our stay but they were fully booked :( will defiantly go and and have already recommend here to people.
the house itself is stunning, the bedrooms could do with a little updating and sprucing up to match the downstairs
Big massive Bed , the grounds, the ancient side of it..
Room Needs upkeeping. Broken window, safe, phone, shower nozzle, and water went off for an hour!
Beautiful stately home style hotel
Set in grounds in countryside Llangefni Anglesey
Loved jacuzzi, pool
Italian restaurant on site - good food
Great lunch options in clock tower , can sit outside , relax
Full breakfast choices
Bars on site
Clean bedding/towels/ classic rooms spacious
Seemed low staff ratio
Wanted coffee in library room no staff to ask
But was available in clock tower
Staff, bed, clock Tower pub ,dinner all amazing 😀
Breakfast and evening meal excellent. Great swimming pool, jacuzzi and spa. Excellent gym and billiards table. Very good facilities. Lovely building and room was clean and comfortable.
Decor bit dated in places. Don't like bathroom expel air and light automatically switching on each time door opens..especially in night when I creep to toilet..wakes husband up!
We had a lovely night stay at this charming hotel.
Although the receiption wasn't open and check in was via the spa we were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
Our room was great , mahoosive bed and comfortable nights sleep.
We enjoyed using the spa after arriving drowned from a heavy downpoor.
Beautiful grounds, timeless charm, really happy friendly staff and nice breakfast. Whats not to like?
Would we return, yes hopefully soon.
Centrally located and easy to get around the island from the hotel. Staff were fantastic, friendly and super helpful. The bar staff were particularly good!
Some aspects looking tired. Rooms were clean but dated.
Fantastic building, interior and grounds...just beautiful
Room was a little warm but staff had already reported to maintenance
The location was good for getting around Anglesey
The property was incredibly unclean and very tired. We had to drive to the local ASDA to buy cleaning products to clean the grime and filth from the ensuite bathroom before using it. Really struggled to see how this was a 4 star hotel.
The location was lovely, and the place was well sign posted and easy to find. The staff were very nice and helpful.
We had to book a time to go for breakfast we couldnt just turn up. The menu in the restraunt did not reflect the menu which was on line. The tv wasnt easy to use and very limited couldnt watch world cup matches.
Location and ambience
Evening menu choice somewhat limited
Parking, walks around the grounds, food was OK
We found the hotel fell well below what a 4 star hotel should be. Our room was not clean, and had not been cleaned for some time, see enclosed photos. All public areas were needed a good hovering and dusting and general maintenance. No management visible during all our stay. Not enough household staff to maintain a hotel that claims to be 4 star. We checked out early as could not continue to stay.
