Will 10000% be back
Pros:

Very quiet, excellent food staff were very helpful. Massive rooms so spacious. The pool was very nice and so was the sauna will definitely be back again. Place is perfect for a weekend getaway if your into peace and quiet I would defo recommend. Very fair pricing too.

Cons:

We noticed some guests of the spa who were much older than us frowned upon my girlfriend’s outfit choice which was a very respectful outfit for the spa facilities (bikini).

A wonderful retreat for an escape from reality.
Pros:

Absolutely wonderful hotel, we felt really spoilt
The ambiance of the hotel and spa is outstanding, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. We had evening meal both nights and found the food exceptional A perfect place to recharge and de stress. The spa treatments were first class leaving us on cloud 9. Very rare to find a hotel and spa of this standard. A very special place to escape the stresses of life.

Cons:

Only one tiny little detail that could be looked at. We found the pillows a little firm for our liking and only one spare in the wardrobe ( I must admit we didn’t ask for other pillows).

Pros:

The Receptionist lady and the bar and hotel staff are lovely, the General Manager was the most disrespectful employee I have ever come across. I booked the s suite for my mums 60th Birthday and when I arrived at 16:00pm (despite emailing at 8:00am) someone was still lay asleep in the room. The General manager said i can choose between a refund for the room or dinner and prosecco, it was disgusting, appalling and so wrong. He was laughing and smiling in my face as he was giving the offer, I work in law and I have never seen someone so disrespectful, telling me it was the owners decision.... disgusting.

Cons:

Please do not stay here unless you want to pay owners that do not care for the hotel, everything was falling apart, one light switch dind't work, I couldn't open my room door, my mums new room curtain wouldn't open, it's disgusting. The oweers are constantly on holiday but will not put the money into the hotel. DO NOT BOOK HERE. Very disappointing and in need of a major upgrade to meet its potential
Pros:

We found the cooked food at breakfast good although it seems the restaurant can be hit and miss as we saw at least three people send dishes back. Staff in restaurant and bar were all great; management full of excuses.

Cons:

The room is dated. No bathrobes although these were advertised -we were told they were for spa use only. Eventually we got some with broken loops. Room safe did not open and could not be fixed. Bathroom fittings worn and towel rail bent. Old soap containers, almost empty. No tissues, biscuits, fridge, pencils or any other 'niceties'. Broken light shade on bedside light. Mismatched clothes hangers. Phone did not work. Carpets old and patched with tape. Room was not made up on first day and we were later told that this was only done if the 'make up room' tag was hung on the door. No lift for upper floors available. There is a billiard room. Some of the cues are broken and beer glasses there on the first night were still there Monday morning. You can't charge anything to your room. I could go on. Absolutely shoddy and not worth the money. It's the most disappointing hotel I've stayed in in 50 years of travelling.

A well needed rest & relaxation.
Pros:

Beautifully set amongst the luscious greenery. Stunning hotel inside and out. Spotless! The staff are all really incredible, lovely, nice, welcoming just perfect. We had food and it was first class. Used the spa and swimming facilities and they too were great. The bed was amazing!!! Breakfast was yummy. Will definitely come back when we visit our daughter again. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Beautiful hotel in need of some TLC and a restaurant upgrade!
Pros:

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. The historical features were breathtaking, especially the library! The grounds were also lovely and despite the weather we managed to have a lovely walk around the gardens and woodland. Rooms were very comfortable. However the cleanliness of some of the common areas was severely lacking e.g. the billiards room, which we used extensively, was not cleaned during our stay and looked like it had not been cleaned for some time. It was such a shame as it really let the hotel down. The breakfast was EXCELLENT, however Romanos restaurant was extremely disappointing as off a very small menu 1/3rd of the items were not available and the staff repeatedly came back from the kitchen telling us that what we had ordered was not available, in the end the staff on the night simply stopped communicating! Again a shame as most of the staff we encountered were lovely!

So a hit and miss experience in all but I would say that I would like to go back as the hotel is beautiful, just in need of some TLC.

Cons:

cleanliness in common areas(billiards room in particular). Romanos restaurant.

Lovely place to spend a few days. Relaxing and well placed to explore island.
Pros:

Loved the spa . This was a return visit. The restaurant much improved since last visit 8 years ago. Staff excellent, room really comfy. Breakfast very good. Being able to use the spa outside checking/out hours a nice touch if wanted. Will stay again.

Cons:

Shame steam room was closed but otherwise very happy. Maybe earlier opening of spa so you could spa before breakfast would be ideal but no complaints.
