Fantastic
Pros:

It was very comfy and was a lovely stay. Staff were friendly and it was an easy check in experience.

Cons:

I was called by reception when I was out asking if I had called and I hadn't. I spent the rest of the night thinking someone hacked my phone to call them because this has happened before. I also woke up with an injury on my leg not knowing how i did it. I was worried someone had come in while I was sleeping. Personal items were found in strange places. As I arrived there were aboriginals sitting around outside and inside on arrival. There was also no onsite parking. I don't do this much and was a bit rattled leaving

Comfy bed, good size room but unprofessional staff and needs a good spring clean.

Location, room space and comfy bed.

Cons:

The unprofessional check in service- within 5mins of checking into our room I received a call from reception to advise they had double booked us, during the phone call another couple went to open our room door. The 2nd room we were given had not been cleaned. We then had to go to reception for a third time to organise another room. The staff were very casual about the whole thing and offered a half hearted apology.
The room smelled musty and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. The sofa bed/couch was also broken on one side/broken spring and sagging.
We were also advised of a $100 deposit on check in which was not disclosed when making the booking. (Quite odd as have stayed at Rydges in other cities before and never been charged a deposit- only Cc used as security)
It was refunded a couple of days after checking out however a card fee was charged on top of the deposit and was not included in the refund. Not happy about the lack of transparency, will definitely not stay with Rydges Mackay again.

Pros:

Lovely place close to restaurants pubs and clubs. Clean tidy amenities

Cons:

Needs more parking and lots of homeless people loitering in areas in building. Not feeling safe and being asked for money isn't a good part of a holiday
