Room was spacious and good location.
Dont stay here if you want to sleep or have a shower.
There was a shower but no holder to keep it up!!!
The room is above a pub and can only be described as sleeping in a middle of a nightclub. There was music blaring from somewhere until the early hours (not sure if the pub or another). The room was in the front so had drunks singing and shouting until 3am.
Having been visiting the Steampacket over many years in the past with my partner and our dog, the setting of the hotel is fantastic. Sadly our dog Jack is no longer with us.
The fact that I was there to celebrate my 70th birthday dinner,we were very disappointed that there was no food available, apart from packets of crisps. So it was a drive to another hotel for food and then back for an early night. In the morning there was a very poor breakfast on offer, nothing hot, all continental style.
Location on the side of the quay. Excellent food.
Bathroom could have done with smartening up.
This place is a tonic for the soul! It is way nicer than the photo's portray. We arrived and enjoyed every minute. The staff were so good. Very friendly. Make sure you get a view of the sea (inlet). Stunning in the summer light. We enjoyed the breakfast also, and the lady who served us was brilliant.
If you are going for the weekend, it might be a bit noisy, being a pub. We were there in the week, so it was great.
Beautiful location with a comfortable room and good food
Restaurant use excellent, friendly helpful staff.
Bathroom in room 1 facilities not up to standard for the price.
Location and the food.
Nothing.
Comfortable room overlooking the harbour, good food and local beers.
Breakfast was adequate, but a little basic,
Stunning location. Large comfortable room. Restaurant superb.
Couldn’t get any normal tv channels or apps to work.
No hot options at breakfast though did offer toast when asked.
Great location , great staff quality food dog friendly comfortable rooms
Breakfast could have bed. Better
Good location. Lovely view. Bathroom had shelf for toilet bag. Wardrobe. Except breakfast
We wanted to book for dinner in advance but were told no dinner provided on Mondays. They recommended a restaurant 7 miles away which we booked. Then when we arrived they said they were doing meals after all.
Location brilliant fruit would be a nice addition to breakfast
Lovely area with great views
Uncomfortable bed room very basic for price. Waited over an hour in the restaurant for food finally arrived just warm!
Breakfast was appallingly bad such a shame but definitely would not return
Excellent room overlooking harbour above friendly and lively pub with excellent food
Only that the restaurant is closed on a Monday
Location and view across the little harbour was just the ticket for a relaxing weekend.
Staff were all fantastic and made our little dog very welcome. Food was delicious.
Nothing really, other than it would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast option. But the continental breakfast was very good.
Beautiful location. Staff all really friendly and the food was excellent. Great selection of beers on tap!
You could hear people downstairs in the bar. It wasn’t raucous at all, just people chatting loudly but a bit distracting.
The room itself was great - overlooking the harbour and very comfortable. It was reasonably priced an the staff were nice.
There was no indication before we arrived that the pub wasn't doing food, so we had to drive back out to a local town for fish and chips in the car. It would have been much better if this had been explicit, either on Booking.com or on the pub website. The room was good, but the pub not so much.
Location and staff
Nothing
