Location, access and comfort. The Marriott was good accomodation for us a family of 6 with an extra friend. I booked 4 rooms for the duration of the stay.
I was not impressed that the pool was Y3000 for each person to use. With the weather 37C it would have been nice to use the pool. Additionally, I ordered a Bloody Mary at the Sky Bar on 52nd Floor and was served tomato juice and vodka and was disappointed the Marriott bar staff dont know how to make a Bloody Mary. Finally, on the day we checked out, I was told we all had to order a drink at the lobby bar even though my autistic son only drinks water. Having booked 4 x rooms for a few days, it was pretty poor of the Marriott not to take this into account, even when I made the staff aware of it.
スタッフの気配りや笑顔が最高だった。部屋も清潔で申し分なく、息子との素晴らしい思い出作りができた。

The breakfast offerings were plentiful and all looked delicious and made with care. My “American style” breakfast was excellent. The coffee was perfect and the carafe to keep it hot was appreciated.
My only issue was the layout of the breakfast food and the eating utensils—it was hard to navigate the space.
Also, since I chose this location to be close to the station, a map of the station area with hotel entrances would have helped, because navigating it was a challenge.

Stayed three nights at the Nagoya Marriott. Hotel is located directly above the Nagoya main train station. Very easy access from the hotel to the station with luggage. Great dining and shopping options within the station.
Stayed in a standard king room. Room was a good size. Bathroom was a little cramped with a single basin, corner shower, bathtub & toilet fitted into a small room. Room and bathroom were well kept and very clean. Bed was very comfortable & the furniture in the room was of good quality.
We had access to the Club Lounge due to our Marriott Platinum Elite status. Food and drink offerings in the lounge were of excellent quality with good variety. Some of the menu offerings changed each evening. Breakfast offerings stayed the same each morning. Staff service was excellent and attentive.
Also tried the main breakfast buffet one morning. There was a good mix of western and Japanese food. A lot more variety at the main buffet than the club lounge. Service at the buffet was amazing. One of the supervisors went out of his way to help me with serving and explaining a traditional dish that I wanted to try. The staff could not do enough for us.
Can’t wait to come back to stay at the Nagoya Marriott again.
お部屋が清潔でした。足が悪いのでフラットなお部屋は助かりました。空気清浄機もあり、喘息の私にも心配なかったです。
ツインに1人で泊まったのですが、タオルの数も充分でありがたかったです。

You couldn't beat the location of this place. It's right inside the Nagoya Station complex, at the door step of Kintetsu. About 2 minutes walk to JR ticket gate and 4 minutes to Shinkansen (all indoors). The station complex is filled with shopping and dining opportunities. And while this isn't the downtown Nagoya, the area is busy enough to contain anything you'll need. The only downside is that you can't take the elevator directly to your room level. You have to move across the lobby level (at 15th floor) to get another elevator.
The room was big enough for a hotel in a Japanese city center. It was a little simpler than I thought, and the lights were dimmer than most hotels in Asia. But it felt upscale, equipped with one the biggest collection of bathroom amenities I have seen (literally on a cart) and the bed was very comfortable. Most rooms are on a pretty high level so you'll get a good view to the city. I was particularly impressed with the soundproofing. All these trains running under my feet and yet I heard nothing except when a heavy freight train was passing through. If you are staying here I highly recommend going to their Japanese restaurant, impressive place. The french one was just OK for the price. The breakfast buffet had lots of options, but the taste was rather bland like many hotels in big cities. It would worth it if you get it as a package, but doesn't worth the full price. They also have a whole floor dedicated to elite members as lounge which I unfortunately didn't have access to.
Overall I think the hotel is still a bit expensive for what they offer, but if you are looking for an upscale and low stress experience (especially if you are coming to the city by train), it is a solid option.
The hotel is extremely convenient for anyone coming into Nagoya Station. It's literally connected above the station, occupying the 15th-52nd floors. It's also comfortable with large rooms - we had plenty of space to move around and enjoy our time. Also, the room service is really delicious, and the staff were extremely accommodating. Also, the view rocked.
It's expensive, but worth it. Also, the bed is a little harder than we were used to, but that's totally a personal preference thing. Honestly, if you can afford it, this place is 100% worth the stay.
