Decent stay for one night

Great spot for two nights with the dog and family.
Pros:

The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Really close to Shepler’s Ferry Dock for getting to Mackinac Island. It was dog friendly, which was perfect for us.

Cons:

Definitely a little dated, especially in the bathroom and not a ton of space to put toiletries.

Place needs a lot of work
Pros:

Location was perfect for the ferry to Mackinac Island. Gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and pleasant.

Cons:

Motel is in dire need of renovation. We stayed in one of the king rooms (Room 14), and WiFi signal did not reach our room. Outlets in bathroom were not GFI, and one by the sink was so loose that my electric toothbrush plug fell out of it. I had to plug in my toothbrush at an outlet near the front door. Bathroom sink had no drain plug, so we had to be very careful not to drop anything in the sink. Clothing drawers had holes drilled in them for pull handles, but no handles. Window shades were very thin, so that outdoor lights and morning sun shine right into the room. We felt this place was way over priced.

Cons:

The room. Smelled like disinfectant. Bugs surrounding the door when you open it. Needs a deep clean and remodel. Internet didnt work in the room. For $175 a night it felt like a Motel 6. We had 2 rooms and the other one had mold and was even worse!

Great quaint motel. View of the lake, quiet comfy bed, fridge, micro. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Away from noise of city hubbub.

Cons:

This hotel needs to be tore down and rebuilt. It’s moldy, it smells, and that’s just the beginning of the issues. The staff was friendly and responsive. We canceled our second night and we were refunded so I’m grateful for that.
