We had a very nice time.
Pros:

The venue is a combination of adjoining buildings which have been cobbled together to create a small compound. The rooms have all been remodeled over time but retain a classic appeal. Our room had a fireplace, a spa tub, and a small sitting area. Breakfast service was modest but acceptable. They were pretty clear that if a person wanted a more complete breakfast there were restaurants in walking distance.

Cons:

Parking was a bit of a problem. There were three, perhaps four separate parking areas, not all of which were clearly marked. Not all of the upgrades were well executed but they did not negatively impact the stay. Our visit was during peak tree color period so there was a lot of people in the area. The downtown Bar Harbor area was very touristy and crowded.

Great location but below average accommodations
Pros:

Location was great and the room was big. Coffee bar was good.

Cons:

We did not receive glass of champagne upon check in as was advertised. We weren’t shown to our rooms like everyone else. We were just told it was on 3rd floor. We were also told the rooms were “exactly the same” but obviously they are not. The mattress needs replaced badly. It has lost its support and is way too soft. Bathroom was adequate but shower needs an update. Carpet looked dirty. TV in sitting room did not work.

Pros:

Disappointing for the price
Pros:

The staff were all very friendly. The location was also excellent. Parking was easy. The room was clean.

Cons:

We would not stay here again. The photos on the website made the room seem nicer than it was, especially for the price we paid. I knew it wouldn't be the exact room in the photos, but I was still very disappointed at the quality vs. what I was expecting. The room smelled very strongly of bleach when we arrived--I appreciate that the room was clean, but the smell was so overpowering that we kept the windows open as much as possible. Our room didn't have a normal door, just a sliding glass door with a cheap curtain for privacy. I feel like you shouldn't charge the same amount for the sliding door rooms as other king rooms.

Maybe a 1-2 night stay would be fine, but we stayed 6 nights and that was too long. The front desk receptionist kind of laughed/gasped when she saw how long we were staying. It made me feel like we'd made a mistake.

Cons:

Sounded like there was an airplane taking off outside our room at night. Parking was challenging.
Water pressure was horrible… didn’t wash my long hair because I was worried I couldn’t rinse out shampoo.

Great location, walkable to everything at harbor!
Pros:

Beautiful Inn. Spacious room (Rm.15) that was very clean and comfortable; balcony was a plus! Great location walkable to harbor front, restaurants and shops. Nick was so friendly and helpful in planning our visit to Acadia National Park.

Pros:

Queen Anne's Revenge is well located, a short walk from the harbor, shopping and restaurant areas. Our room and bathroom were huge, as was the bed. A good choice if you prefer lodging that is not cookie-cutter.

Cons:

Considering how high the rates were, some of the amenities you might expect were lacking. No coffee or tea in the room, generic bath products, boring breakfast choices.

Generally good but amazing location
Pros:

The location was ideal and the included breakfast was a nice bonus.

Cons:

There was a hold in our duvet cover and the smell of the Glade wall plug-ins was SO STRONG, I could taste it in my mouth. We unplugged them all and felt a lot better.

Pros:

Always like staying here, peaceful and quiet (most of the time, see dislikes for this year).

Cons:

First night someone’s fireplace set off the fire alarm and filled the whole floor with smoke. Would have been nice to have been compensated for the night (or at least given a couple hundred bucks back in a credit) as it happened just before midnight and we were outside for a couple hours, making it hard to fall back to sleep especially with the heavy smoke smell.
