The room wasn't cleaned properly even AFTER having to wait an extra hour (check in was 3 and we weren't able to get into our room until 4:10). Had issues with our jet tub and over 40 minutes of the staff pretty much not caring, we finally figured it out by ourselves. The room is in need of serious repairs/updates. Broken window curtains, the shower was gross with bad caulking and what looked like possibly mold growing, stained carpet etc. The ONLY reason we didn't leave was because we had no other options. Bad storms causing power outages left us with no other choice but to stay.
Staff was super friendly and helpfull.
No gravy for the biscuits, nor bacon like all other HIE hotels have. They stated they were out until the following Wednesday. No Hot Chocolate in the lobby that my kids absolutely love, and all other HIE hotels have. They said no-one drinks it so they just no longer order any. Pool was not accessible but they let us go to the hotel next door for the kids to swim. Beds we're super hard. A/C only cooled half of the room so the other half was really warm. And the mini fridge was super loud and sounded like an espresso machine running all night. I stay in HIE hotels almost exclusively and we absolutely love them that's why we stay there, so all of these complaints are way out of the norm.
We’re from Mississippi and came to visit family. This Holiday Inn Express was one of many we’ve stayed at while traveling but it also was one the cleanest and friendlier. Laurie at the front desk was awesome!! Staff serving breakfast was also great. Highly recommend. Will be back.
Location was close to my family’s!
They tried to pull payment off my card around 7am the morning before and I had it pay at check in, they pulled same time I my insurance payment was pulling and declined my card so I had to pay extra 50 on that bill due to declining! I’ve never had any issue with pay at check in before!! The staff I called was so flippant about it and said it was normal! Never has happened before thru booking. Com! I specifically wanted a bathtub ( was one one reason I took that hotel ) but mold in bathroom all around tub! Grout on floor filled with ????! Had pool still closed too!!

BRENDA.BRENDA BRENDA. If we stayed again it would be because of Brenda. He made a delicious breakfast and great conversation. She was all smiles and much more helpful than the rest of the staff. Give Brenda a raise. She saved this review. Breakfast was amazing
The pool did not work and it was not advertised on the site. Our room was NOT clean. The fold out had popcorn and chips on it when we opened it. The carpet was dirty and the common area furniture was stained. The staff weren't pleasant. We could not get into the gym because the pool was closed
